I beg to differ about the energy. Even a vacuum contains energy.

I don't think you have a very good comprehension about the concept of
nothing.

There were no physical laws, no nature, nothing but an unending void
of nothingness.

There is no unending void.


As the universe began and expanded into the void,

There was no void in which to expand. There is no "outside" to the
universe.
