The fact that he *was* a brilliant person just makes his debilitation via
"jesus" all the more sickening.
It's not generally known, but Issac Newton degenerated into a religious
mystic (and that was the end of his contributions).
Religion offers solace to an over-active mind with its easy solutions for
everything.
Basically, it's a coward's way out, and you could make an argument that it's
like narcotics, and should be controlled and suprresed.
