No, in fact, the more modern translations are the very worst: they
translate translations not only textual to today's standards, but
change actual events to meet your 3rd millennium perception.

LOL! I find that humorous, since the NIV stands for 'The New International
Version'. I'm not from the United States either, but the NIV is so
popular, I just thought more people had heard of it. (Maybe it's called
something different in the Netherlands?)
But as for the rest, I understand what you mean.

for a bible revision and said "We can't put THAT in there..."
