Do you have any compelling evidence to offer for God's existence?
Yeah sure I have compelling evidence... but the question is, do you have
any compelling evidence we ever made it to the moon?
For the sake of this argument, I will say no. No, no evidence at all.
No, no compelling evidence that we ever made it to the moon.
Let's show you what you've just done to yourself. Do *YOU* have any
compelling evidence that we ever made it to the moon? Of course, you
have to answer in the negative, else you'd look pretty stupid for
asking me the question in the first place. When you answer that
question in the negative, my next question springs up: If you have no
compelling evidence that Neil actually landed on the moon--you know,
the tangible stuff offered by NASA doesn't convince you, cuz the flag
in the footage is blowing or whatever the ***** ever--then why the *****
are you convinced by some old book making SUPERNATURAL claims for
which the world at large has no compelling evidence?
Instead of playing silly games by placing burdens of evidence on the
side that has made NO EXTRAORDINARY CLAIMS, why don't you show us
compelling evidence for the existence of the Judeo-Christian God? You
say you have compelling evidence. Cough it up. Or are you merely doing
some healthful trolling?
Did I mention anything to do with the moon? NO. Who knows, I might not
believe the moon story myself. I might even believe the world is flat
(overall). What does any of this have to do with your claims for the
existence of the Judeo-Christian God? (Not to mention your other
claims.)
Dumping some compelling evidence would be the logical thing to do if
you're inviting public discussion on matters contingent on the
existence of the Judeo-Christian God. That's if you don't want to beg
some questions.
I really don't know why you chose to litter your post with theological
crap. You could've simply started a discussion on longevity and the
effects of radiation. Maybe discussed transhumanism or something.
Geez, anything but Bible literalism.
Are you kidding me? There's a massively profitable author who
writes mainly in pagan traditions (best selling book was on Reiki
though) who insists that the average human lifespan is *decreasing*.
I was the editor in charge of her stuff for a while, and one of her
"rules" (she was so profitable she could dictate "rules") was that
no male was allowed to give a direct edit of her stuff.
So I sent every book out to a female freelance editor, whoever was
available. And every time, they'd catch that bit where she'd say the
average human lifespan was decreasing. ANd they'd send it back
to the author saying "you need proof or you can't say this." Well,
since that wasn't a defamation issue, it's not strictly true: it just
goes to the reliability of the house and the author.
So the author would call the publisher and have the freelancer
overruled. Happened every time.
No legal requirement that you not B.S. And in the occult world,
B.s. sells the suckers.
Life in the occult publishing world.
