Correction!!!! The denizen of news:alt.atheism " bash" everyone "for
fun". It's the only activity they excel in ..... the "wailing" in the "outer
darkness", as Jesus puts it. They are also known to ominously "gnash teeth"
on occasion. See below

Are you saying, every philosophy of life lacking an "original text" is
invalid? LOL But you DO believe in miracles, right? Or you wouldn't call

You have a choice among innumerable gods, it's just that Christians
believe that love is the most powerful motivation to do good known to man,
and that Jesus Christ demonstrated that love to the death on the cross of
Calvary.
Most people prefer to have Mammon, the love of money, as their god or
devil. Are you one of those?

his original texts around? Is there any objective verifyable evidence that
he discovered America? Why is this being taught in schools?

If you are willing to apply the same methods to your bible that is applied
to the existence of Columbus then we can proceed.
Compare the existence of Columbus and what he did with the Pentateuch using
these guidelines.

love" (1 John 4:8,16) and love is indeed the "most important quality
in our Christian lives". What is more important than love in YOUR

Why be selective? Are you saying just because I love my cat, I
consider the cat my God? Read below what the author is trying to say

feelings for a cat is most important in your life then that is your god at
that moment.
I suspect for most people at one time or another finding a john is god.

Bush's disapproval is *Not* at 57%.
The polling is limited to "likely voters," and
heavily favors Republicans.
A few polls actually show Bush's approval
amongst Democrats to be below 20%, with
only 30% of independents satisfied with
Bush's performance.
Non-voters (people not even registered)
represented slightly more than 40% of
the population in the last election... and it
was an exceptional year for voter turn-out.
Non-voters as a block are what you might
call "the Liberal Red Necks."
They hate the Democrats (and the greens,
and everyone else) with a passion, but they
definitely come down on the liberal side of
things when polled.
Bush is only polling a 30% approval rating
from non-voters... at best.
