The only trouble with the disease concept is that its simply not true.
NA suffers from group think just like AA. And I dont see that kind of
success rate in NA. The area where I was involved there were only 4
people with more than 10 years clean time. If it was 8 out of 10 where
did they all go?
The disease concept is incompatible with Christianity. No where in
scripture will you find it.
the bible is not an encyclopedia.
You will however find references to drunkards and not very kind ones.
Also NA acceptance of the homosexual lifestyle is an abomination.
NA has nothing to say about homosexuality. It neither accepts nor rejects
it.
How can God bless an organization that accepts homosexuality as a
viable life style?
You have demonstrated the insanity of (your) cult thinking.
As Greg has rightly pointed out what NA does for most people is addict
them to meetings and produce surface change in their behavior, but not
a changed nature. A changed nature is the point of Christianity
(putting to death the old nature and receiving a new nature from God, a
death and re-birth).
Well Christianity does not achieve that miracle either.
So if you go to NA meetings and have stopped using
drugs, God bless you. But if you are accepting false ideas like you had
a disease and your dissatisified with still having a selfish, angry
unrepentant nature, then maybe you might find some clues to help you

it is a shame to witness such idiocy.
this is a "how many angels can dance on a pinhead" debate.
