Anyone got a good retort for that?
Yes. Sigh and move on. People like that _believe_. No matter what
happens. You can proof anything you want, invite Nobel prize winners
to explain it, doesn't matter anything at all.
For that kind of people 1+1+1=1.
And multiplication/division by zero is valid to them.

Uhhhh, could you explain what's invalid about multiplication by zero?

Nope. I slipped. It's not invalid, just pointless. I guess you could
say division by zero is valid if you want to come up with infinity. I
can't say if infinity is valid, I've never seen it.
In my humble opinion, division, which is repetitive subtraction, by
zero results in repeating the same effort without any change,
therefore without positive results, the very root of insanity. Hey, I
said it was only my opinion.
And I wasn't trying to really explain math anyway.
For Sales, dial 1. To verify your order, dial 2. To track your order,
dial 3. For payment options, dial 4. To talk to a representative, dial
346580456034650. To reach our complaint department, dial the cube root
of infinity followed by a 85 digit prime number.
