. "God is not man, that he should lie, nor the son of man that he
should repent."- Numbers 23:9

1 Kings 8:27, " But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the
heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this
house that I have builded."

God will never be on earth.

First of all why would any God need to be human? He has to come to the
earth, in the form of another, with another name, slide down the
cervix (birth canal) of a virgin, live as a child in the land, grow
up in one specific area, allow himself to be hanged on a cross,
publicly crucified as a criminal, then resurrect himself yet in
another form that is unrecognizable by those that knew him in that
"flesh" form, and then assend back to heaven to be with himself so
that He could save the world! What kind of God is that??

All of mythology is filled with gods descending to Earth in physical
form--sometimes human, sometimes animal--and mating with human women
to produce demi-god offspring. Why should the story of Jesus be
anything other than just another such myth?

Hello,
True, Jesus could not have been God. First, because God always
existed, but Jesus was created. Ps 90:2,
"Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the
world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God." (NIV)
And Col 1:15,
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation."
(NASB)
Another reason of many, is that the Bible clearly says that no human
person has ever seen God. Yet many people saw Jesus when he walked the
earth. Joh 6:46,
"No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he
has seen the Father." (NIV)
But was Jesus a myth? Unlike the Easter Bunny etc, we have written
historical evidence that Jesus really existed.
For example, the first century non-Christian historian Josephus
(37-100 A.D) wrote,
"Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to
call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of
such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both
many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ. And
when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had
condemned him to the cross, (9) those that loved him at the first did
not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day;
(10) as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other
wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named
from him, are not extinct at this day." (Antiquities of the Jews, Book
XVIII, Chap. III, par. 3.)
Justin Martyr, writing in the middle of the second century, wrote in
reference to the death of Jesus:
"That these things did happen, you can ascertain from the Acts of
Pontius Pilate."
In addition, according to Justin Martyr, these same records mentioned
Jesus' miracles, regarding which he says:
"That He did those things, you can learn from the Acts of Pontius
Pilate."
True, these "Acts," or official records, no longer exist. But they
evidently did exist in the second century, and Justin Martyr
confidently challenged his readers to check them to verify the truth
of what he said. (Antiquities of the Jews, Book XVIII, Chap. III, par.
3)
"German historian and archaeologist Hans Einsle writes that Jewish
historian Flavius Josephus, Roman writers Suetonius and Pliny, and
especially Roman historian Tacitus "all confirm the historicity of
Jesus and the main facts of his life."" (1988 Watchtower, 7/15, p. 4.)
Some other first-century pagan Roman writers who made mention of
Christ and his followers were the poet Juvenal, and the stoic
philosopher Lucius Seneca, who was a contemporary of Jesus and the
leading intellectual figure in Rome in the middle of the first
century.
Concerning those early non-Christian writers, the Encyclopaedia
Britannica states:
"These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the
opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus."
(1980 edition, vol. 10, p. 145.)
Thus in summary, the Bible teaches us that Jesus was not Almighty God,
but Jesus did exist as a real person, and we have many historical
writings showing such to be true.
Sincerely, James

Blah blah blah. The bible isn't a form of evidence, unless you're
studying literature or philosophy. Go back to denying family members
blood transfusions, you fucking psycho.

For example, the first century non-Christian historian Josephus
(37-100 A.D) wrote,
Josephus was not a witness to a phony jesus. It was just passing along
some BS given to him by an ancient drug freak.
Most all the examples you use are highly disputed and not one of them
is an eye witness account. So much for your ***** proof.
