On September 11, we were able to extend some medical help and refuge
to
some of those fleeing the site. Kept some brothers here at Bethel
overnight.
Also have been providing food and beverages in the lobby of the 90
Sands
building for policemen manning the Brooklyn Bridge and firefighters.
Supplied cutting equipment, aspirin, bottled water, blankets and
so forth to firefighters as requested.
Our main help to the people can be in a spiritual way.
On Friday, September 14, 40 NY area circuit overseers met at
the 107 KH for a meeting to receive direction for the elders to render
assistance and comfort to people in the city. Elders assigned to go
to
Javitts Center (refuge staging area), hospitals, and to the area of
ground
zero to offer comfort. Cos took the lead in instructing the brothers
on how
to do this, how to comfort those who mourn. Also directions out to the
congregations in all of US on helping people find hope in God's
promises.
The direction is to endeavor to use the Bible.

Fourteen brothers and sisters were killed in the tragedy, including
two
brothers who were NYC firemen. About 100 brothers as well as many
non-Witnesses were received at our lobbies at the Factory, 90 Sands,
and 25
Columbia Heights. Efforts were made to help people contact loved ones,
food
and water were given, as well as prayers said. Food and lodging were
provided for 68 brothers and sisters and one Bible student who were
unable
to return home because of the NYC transportation system having come to
a
complete halt. The kitchen provided cold cuts, pastries, and beverages
around the clock to police, fire department, and Department of
Transportation workers who were stationed near our buildings.
As well, metal-cutting tools and other equipment were donated to the
rescue
efforts. Two refrigerators were sent to our local firehouse on Middagh
Street to help store the large quantities of food provided for rescue
workers. This firehouse lost about nine men, so Bethel also sent a
large
flower arrangement.

these "excerpts" is anything more than a JW in name/label only?
Do we look at someone that tries to run 26 miles right off the bat,
with no training, and keels over, and say, "See? Now we KNOW that
runners are screwed up!" No, we don't. Or shouldn't. But that's

I have only know one Jehovah's Witnesses and I worked with the man,
he was kind, thoughtful and I had to pry out of him any discussion about
religion. He walked the walk and didn't have to talk the talk as is the case
with many people of integrity. He proved his faith daily in his actions.
Would I jump up and become a JW? No way, they are nuts after all
but good people can be found in all walks of life. It's not important
what you are, it's only important who you are. Do you do more good
then harm, can you speak your truth quietly yet firmly.

Someone already checked and Jabriol - real name: "Antonio J Santana" is a
Jehovah's Witness at the Walnut St. congregation in Camden NJ. He's more
than a troll. He's a dangerous person who helped push a depressed boy to
commit suicide, then gloated over the death like he'd done something
wonderful to the young man. It was horrifying! Then to tell women who were
raped (including his own daughter) that they deserved it, even looked for
it, was incredible and sickening. In all my years on this earth I never met
a man with so many psychological problems or mental/personality disorders as
this jabriol has shown here. He's a sadist, a misogynist, a masochist, a
bigot, a racist, a sociopath, he suffers from so many things one hardly
knows where to start when describing him. He is truly a depraved
