Christianity--so many claim to have it, but so few display the
character of it. Foolish arguments with foolish people abound
constantly by those who love to argue and those who love the 'smell of
the bullfight.' By all means let us contend for the faith (Jude 3),
BUT let us do it as a servant of the Lord (II Tim. 2:24-26) and not as
enemies of the cross by displaying our own fleshly lusts in the battle
concerning the truth of the gospel.

So, we confess Christ? Yes, That is good. Do we display Him? Do we lay
down our lives, yielding to the power of the cross for the
mortification of the strength and wisdom of the flesh, in order to
embrace the resurrected Lamb and His character? Are we known by our
Love and truth, or by our fight, hate or arrogance?

Christianity is more than a confession or belief--it is a surrender. A
surrender to the life of Christ as Lord and Savior. A surrender to
speak the truth in love. (Eph. 4:15) Truth without love turns Jesus
into a monster, while love without truth turns Him into Santa Claus.

Our professed beliefs and doctrines are essential to the embracing of
the true gospel. However, we can be as straight as a gun barrel and
just as empty!

No longer.

striking their destined targets as the rider gallops forth "as a

No longer can we be made both righteous **and** empty.
