I wouldn't have been so ticked off over this if I didn't regret not being
able to have
a pet cat of my own (allergies).
And if the religious thing hadn't been mentioned right off the bat.
And if religiosity hadn't already been mentioned in a front page story
earlier
this month (details after kitten story).

To his family and friends, Carlos Eduardo Valladares-Guillen is a
hard-working family
man who spends time volunteering in his church. But to Wayne County
prosecutors
he's a man so cruel that he flung a kitten out the window of his car
while speeding
down I-275.

WTF is wrong with people?

Larion said Valladares-Guillen admitted to killing the kitten after he
was taken into custody.
"People have gone crazy over this case," said Sean Daigle,
Valladares-Guillen's attorney. "He is a family man with a 5-month old
baby who attends church and plays the guitar."
Valladares-Guillen could serve a maximum of four years in jail, pay a
$5,000 fine and serve 500 hours of community service if convicted.

I hope he gets the maximum, all the way.
I agree. Society does not need people in it that display such disregard for
the suffering of other creatures.
