Parvez explained :

The reality is that Islam is not as is commonly believed a religion, in
which each one of us can worship the God of our own wishful concepts.
Islam is a collective system for life in which we are collectively
subservient to the Law of Quran. Islamic republic or system is
responsible for legislating and imposing God's Laws and having them
implemented in the nation. The first Islamic nation was established by
the Messenger Muhammad peace be upon him, the purpose and aim of which
was to abide by God's Law. In Quran's terminology it is to follow Allah
Almighty and does not mean to follow ones wishful thinking of our own
belief. It meant to follow the system that the Messenger Muhammad peace
be upon him had established according to God's / Allah Almighty
commands, which are present in the Quran.

All true, which is why your religion is the product of a diseased
little mind that held fear and hate towards anyone who thought and
acted beyond its own obdurate limitations. It also explains why every
Islamic theocracy appears to many Westerners as a cesspool of 14th
century backwardness, barbarity, and suffering. There's no
individuality in Islam, no freedom to seek one's own happiness in life
nor the freedom to wallow in life's many earthly pleasures. There's no
passion for life at all in Islam. So of what value is it, except in
the mind of the dullard who wastes his life preparing himself for an
imaginary afterlife that any adolescent could have dreamt up?
