Atheists have had their faith publically promoted on public grounds and
in public schools for a hundred years.
Beg pardon? Specific examples, if you please (do note in advance that not allowing
Muslim prayers or Hindu ceremonies or Christian Bible reading in school
is not "promoting atheism")

We've had this discussion before, so I'll overlooked your pretended
ignroance. However, every time students are taught that they come from
slime without evidence...it is atheism promotion.
No. Just under half of biologists surveyed believe in God, so clearly
teaching basic biology is not the same as teaching atheism.
Teaching that humans come from slime is not basic biology. It is one
theory that is being pushed upon students by those with intolerant
agendas.
I find this most interesting. Are you saying that no science should
be taught which someone may find to contradict his religious beliefs?
Should we not teach geography because it contradicts the elephants/turtle
model of cosmology?
I'm not even going to read the rest of your post, since you obviously
didn't read my post and are, instead, putting words in my mouth to
argue with. When you get done arguing with yourself, you can go back
to my post and resond to my words.
Well, perhaps you should have kept reading, since my very next paragraph
was
(in passing, I am assuming that what you really meant was "evolution",
because anyone who teaches that life arose "from slime" should be fired.
No one knows how life aose. It's an interesting field, but absolutely
nothing solid has come from it yet)
