state institutions, where, of course, the state must pay through the
nose to support them? (Adopted children, of course, are the financial
resposbility of their adoptive parents.) If you look at the statistics
of EVERY STATE IN THE USA, you'll find that they are having enormous
trouble finding adoptive homes for many, many children in the state's
care. Talk to any government official who deals with Child Services -
it's a national crisis (and tragedy).

Andyet, Rob claims (or parrots), if we let gay people adopt, all those
qualified, loving straight couples who want to adopt just won't be able
to find any children!
