Re: Democrats: The Party of Sin |

Have you noticed that lately, democrats seem to be turning against
God. . . .
No. I "turned against God" a long time ago (about the time my
reasoning faculties progressed past grade-school level, IIRC).
But I'm in a distinct minority within the left.
. . . They want
a very secular society in America. . . .
You misspelled "government". Too big a word for you, I guess.
You, OTOH, want an American Taliban. I don't want you taking
_your_ religious prejudices shoved in my face, telling me what
I can or can't do that harms no one else, because your Gawd
says that I'll burn in Hell for it (and if that truly is the
case, then I suggest you'd be well advised to let Him take
care of it; He would seem to have matters under control).
. . . One where the mention of God is
outlawed.
Nope. We don't want your proselytizing on the gummint dime.
Look at all the attacks on Christians that have come from the left in
the last year. You have to ask yourself why this is happening.
Oh, boo, hoo, hoo. The poo' widdle Christ-shuns are getting persecuted,
even though they're a _vast_ majority of the U.S. population, and
I don't know of a single legislator, judge, or elected executive
that is openly atheist. Someone's telling them to siddown and
shaddup when they want to use the power of the gummint which
_they_ control to spew their "goodness" and "love" and "compassion"
around on all the heathens or Baptists or Catholics or Jews or
Buddhists or whoever they think happens to have by chance missed
the one _true_ Gawd amongst all the hundreds of candidates and
impostors. . . . TFB. Some people, even religious ones, even
_Christian_ ones, understand the reasons _why_ the Founders so
wisely said that church and state should be separate, for the
better health of both. . . .
If a party embraces God and his values, they would not be participating
in attacks against those who also believe in and support those very same
values, . . .
Utter horseshit. Witness the Crusades, the Thirty Years War, and
the War of the Roses, and the hundreds of very sanguinary misadventures
of Christians who were all doing "Gawd's work" in killing anyone
else who didn't have the good sense to believe in _their_ Gawd.
Some of the Christians are a little more civilized; rather than
kill the heathens, these folks think they should try to convert
them first. Killing heathens seems to be a very "Christian"
thing to do, if you take note of history.
But where does it say in the Holey Babble that you should tell
a liar that they're telling the truth, just because they happen
to be Christians too? My copy of the Babble says no such thing.
. . . but the democrats are doing all they can to attack
Christians, . . .
You misspelled "fundie foamers".
Christmas, . . .
Ummm, no. Those of us who do enjoy Christmas do it at home.
Maybe you need to go read Matt. 6:5-8 to get a grip on
things, and find out why putting ostentatious displays of
your piety in the middle of the public square is not only
un-Constitutional, but a bad idea as well.
biblical values of marrriage, . . .
No one's telling you who you can or cannot marry. So do
the Christian thing and return the favour.
. . . the value of unborn children, . . .
Didn't you mean "preborn children"? How about "incipient
children"? "Potential children". Every sperm is sacred,
you know. . . .
etc. etc.
It then appears that democrats have become the party of sin, uphoding
values counter to Traditional Family Values, which are largely based on
Biblical values.
Fine. Let Gawd (if there is such a thing) sort out the things
She thinks are sins, and punish them appropriately. But if
what I do doesn't hurt you, it's NOYFB on _this_ planet.
Why are democrats embracing sin? Why do they want to remove God from
America? What has caused the democrat party to move so far to the left,
they now appear to be just like the old soviets who also believed the
State was the answer, and God was the enemy?
"Straw man", of course. Not that you'd know what that is.
Do you seriously think that you should be able to use the
rule of law to make _me_ adhere to the dictates of _your_
religion? Would you think that quite such a grand idea if
the tables were turned? I doubt it.
