Just so.
Ask, and it shall be given you

Mat 18:19
Mat 21:22
What would all the doctors do?
They would treat all the evil pagans, queers, atheists, etc, who
believe that the mumbo jumbo, that is science, can cure them, and
that gods are not needed.
Then, as science is all fraud, they will die, and only the true
believers will remain
Heal ONLY atheists? Man, you are pompous, atheists.
You think that "science" can actually deliver?
How can that be, when science shows not the slightest evidence of
needing gods, to function.
Interesting though.
You have so much faith in your god, that you need atheist fraudulent
science, as a backup.
....Yet you still want to insult then with impunity, and probably claim
that science had nothing to do with the cure.
So much for xtian faith, and xtian love, and integrity.

Statements like that one always leave me with the impression that the
trap, or prison, whatever, is a mind, which their god has switched to
"Fully Functional", and therefore trapped us into thinking, and
working things out for our selves.
This in opposition to their own minds, which have been switched off,
thus freeing them the discomfort of having to try and rationalise
reality, with the bible.
But I could be wrong.

The original post by Frank was in the newsgroup alt.messianic, a
newsgroup I frequent.
Chung stole the post and moved it to alt.support.diabetes and
alt.christnet.public and alt.atheism and sci.med.cardiology.
There is nothing inherently wrong with proselytizing.
I do it all the time in alt.messianic, which is a newsgroup
specifically designed for such.
However, different rules apply in non-religious newsgroups such as
alt.support diabetes.
We are all free to express our religious beliefs here, such as saying
"Please pray for me during my surgery" or "I'll keep you in my prayers
during your health-related depression".
I myself posted such expressions when I was here a few years ago, and I
believe that such expressions are very helpful in natural human
interactions.
But here is where the problems arise:
1. When I was here a few years ago a person here completely
misrepresented my religious beliefs as a way of attacking me. I rightly
called him a bigot. Nobody here should attack another person's relgious
beliefs. Take such attacks / debates to alt.messianic and other such
newsgroups where I will be very glad to kick your butt from here to
kingdom come. But such religious attacks / debates are not appropriate
for alt.support.diabetes. If I on rare occasions say "Jesus help you"
or someone else says "may somebody be a melitz yosher to you" or
whatever, and you don't like it, tough luck.
Just ignore our innocently exercising our freedom of religion.
2. On the other hand, what Chung did with this thread was *not*
acceptable.
He stole the post from another newsgroup.
He did not make a religious comment in the natural flow of human
interaction.
His post was completely lacking in relevance to the topic of this
newsgroup: Diabetes.
Summary:
A *good* example of religious expression in this diabetes newsgroup
would be:
"Sometimes the diabetic pain in my legs is so bad that I scream in
agony and my faith in Jesus is the only thing that gets me through the
day."
Two *bad* examples of religious expression in this diabetes newsgroup
would be:
"Jesus changed my life [with no additional comment on how it relates to
Diabetes]"
"Take your Jesus and shove it."
Now that I have stated these posting rules, they can be carved in stone
tablets and placed in a prominent place in the newsgroup :^)
And may God bless :^)

ongoing trolling and abuse of non-religious groups. please forward

There's no evidence there, just references to new testament accounts which
have very limited credibility.
Why not just have jesus appear, prove his existence, prove his healing
powers, and tell us what he wants from us?
When will you do that? If you can't, why can't you? I've asked you to do
this a number of times over recent weeks- why haven't you done it?

<LOL>
Did you know there are more verified evidences for the accuracy of the
Bible than for the accuracy of the works of Plato, Socrates, Aristotle
or even, in more recent times, Shakespeare?
And that the evidence shows the Bible to be 99.5% accurate compared to
an average of only 80% for those other fine gentlemen.

How can that be true since much in the Bible is not verifiable - for example
Psalms, and Proverbs?
