The prophet Jeremiah foretold the destruction of Jerusalem by
the king of Babylon, and his prophecies were accurately
fulfilled. An interesting confirmation of Jeremiah's account
has recently been discovered:

Jeremiah chapter 39 mentions the name of some of the officers
and princes of Nebuchadnezzar at the siege of Jerusalem, and a
small cuneiform tablet (a receipt for payment) which mentions
the name of one of them, although spelled slightly
differently, has been discovered by a visiting assyriologist
at the British Museum, where many of these relics are stored.
The date on the tablet is the 10th year of the reign of
Nebuchadnezzar II, 595 BC.

It's interesting, and a shame, that many so-called intelligent people
don't realize that the Bible is the only book that can tell you about
the past, the present, and the future.

One fine day in alt.atheism, bloodied us up with this:

don't realize that the Bible is the only book that can tell you about
the past, the present, and the future.
The bible contains equal amounts of fact, history, and pizza.
