I'm reminded of the movie Dogma.
When the distant relative of Jesus was conscripted to stop two fallen
angels from entering a church and thereby relieving them of their sins,
she was given a massive amounts of evidence. She didn't believe simply
because someone told her.
It started with Metetron coming into her apartment in a column of
flames, revealing his angel wings to her, showed that angels have no
reproductive system, transported her to a restaurant then back to her
bedroom.
And that was within the first 5 minutes of the religious characters
revealing themselves to her.
Of course, I recognize this movie (like the original source material) is
fiction.
But this is the kind of evidence that atheists require of the various
religions. Otherwise, we shall remain atheists. :-)

Without which we are simply discussing a myth - pure and simple
I'm reminded of the movie Dogma.
When the distant relative of Jesus was conscripted to stop two fallen
angels from entering a church and thereby relieving them of their sins,
she was given a massive amounts of evidence. She didn't believe simply
because someone told her.
It started with Metetron coming into her apartment in a column of
flames, revealing his angel wings to her, showed that angels have no
reproductive system, transported her to a restaurant then back to her
bedroom.
And that was within the first 5 minutes of the religious characters
revealing themselves to her.
Of course, I recognize this movie (like the original source material) is
fiction.
But this is the kind of evidence that atheists require of the various
religions. Otherwise, we shall remain atheists. :-)
I'm sure someone can provide that evidence, but "people like that don't

Amazing how religions change and it is interesting you mention angels.
When I was a schoolboy sixty odd years ago angels formed part of the
scriptures and were mentioned in church regularly, but not these days, even
religionists find that angels, pretty girls with wings too much to swallow.
How can any religion that is supposed to be 'true' be taken seriously when
it needs to be modified so frequently to keep pace with modern times?

Andrew, I am not the one going around telling people they have the mark of Satan
on their forehead. Please, stop for a moment and think how utterly crazy that
is for a 21st century physician to say. I implore you to please use some of the
focus and will power you once had to get your degrees and get some help.
