What is wrong with America? Why is there so much crime? Why are our
schools slipping?

Relying on mythology; believing in gods, demons, virgin births, miracles,
wizards, magic etc.

I can't make it any planer than that.

When asked a question, do you always answer with more questions instead of
answering? Or is that what you do when you have no answer?

It hurts our society and the results in less freedom. It hurts all
religions because less people will become religious and try to live
their lives to a standard higher than societies minimum.

Do you have any verifiable evidence whatsoever that religion causes people
to behave better? Any evidence that the scare tactic of the hell myth
actually works?
Please post your proof that religion has a positive effect on morality.
Or are you just another mindless parrot that attributes all good things to
their religion and all bad things to another mythical character (devil)?
Keep your mythology in your churches where it belongs.

You're confused.

Ever heard the term "dumbed down"? That is the effect that religion has.
Just look at fake Pastor Franks posts as an example.

Like the government taxes cigarettes and gives people tax incentives on
hybrid cars, we all have a legitimate interest in encouraging and
discouraging members of our society to achieve and behave well.

What is it about your bloodletting hatefilled religion that you think causes
people to behave better?

As if our kids are going to turn into fundamentalists if teacher prays.

Post your proof that praying does anything other than make the person doing
the praying and begging feel better.

Relying on mythology; believing in gods, demons, virgin births, miracles,
wizards, magic etc.

So, by telling people murder and stealing are sins that their God
despises, that actually makes crime worse?

Murder and stealing are wrong. Religion and god are fairy tales.
Fairy tales about Santa, the easter bunny, the stork, hades, sasquatch and
jesus are not necessary to understand the difference between right and
wrong.

How does that happen?

No one said it makes them worse. Believing in wizards, demons, gods, devils,
adam & eve, noahs arc, hell, heaven and the bible of myths is for people who
can't or won't think for themselves and are easily mislead.

I can't make it any planer than that.

When asked a question, do you always answer with more questions instead
of
answering? Or is that what you do when you have no answer?

Do you know who Sacrates was? Don't you think he was a good teacher?
Why do you think, "I can't make it any planer than that." is a
question?

Obviously, those who are practicing their faith aren't behaving
contrary to it.

Somehow I knew you couldn't produce any proof, whatsoever.
People who "practice their faith" consistently commit crimes.

Please post your proof that religion has a positive effect on morality.

Where would I find those statistics. I mostly post to political groups
in which we discuss the religious inclinations of founding the founding
fathers and how our social ills escalate as we divert from their
precedents. For instance, Benjamin Rush, the founder of the
Philadelphia Bible Society, in his first work calling for free public
schools he says, "Such is my veneration for every religion that
reveals the attributes of the Deity, or a future state of rewards and
punishments, that I had rather see the opinions of Confucius or
Mohammed inculcated upon our youth than see them wholly devoid of a
system of religious principles. But the religion I mean to recommend in
this place is that of the New Testament... [A]ll it's doctrines and
precepts are calculated to promote the happiness of society and the
safety and well being of civil government."

Or are you just another mindless parrot that attributes all good things
to
their religion and all bad things to another mythical character (devil)?

Are you just an anti-religoius bigot? Why?

Your refusal to answer is noted as is your smokescreen distraction.

Keep your mythology in your churches where it belongs.

You're confused.

I've never heard of him. I work a department where you have to have a
degree to get a job. There's a healthy Bible study here and I've
noticed that religious faith doesn't descriminate against levels of
intelligence. However, the political climate here is such that
Christophobes and other bigots are forced to confine their opinions to
the internet.

Obviously people with degrees submit to the dumbing down effects of
religion; not exclusively for uneducated people. But early in christianity,
most common people were illiterate and the ruling elite were able to read
and write; they obviously didn't want the masses to read or think for
themselves.

There is no Atheists group here.

Your point is???
You prefer to block out, or censor, viewpoints you disagree with? How
christian of you.

Like the government taxes cigarettes and gives people tax incentives on
hybrid cars, we all have a legitimate interest in encouraging and
discouraging members of our society to achieve and behave well.

Look in the mirror. You can thank Christian charity that you haven't
had your fair measure of bloodletting.

Thanks for proving your intolerance and bigotry. You'd prefer to kill those
with differing views and beliefs.
Are you a holocaust denier too? Do you deny that Hitler was a practicing
christian to the very end?

As if our kids are going to turn into fundamentalists if teacher prays.

Some doctors are administering prayer as a healing technique.

"Some doctors" are idiots too. Again, level of education offers no immunity
to the dumbing down effects of religion.
Care to guess what would happen to trauma victims and other seriously ill
people if there were no emergency rooms and ambulances took them to
churches where they were prayed for instead?
Can you name, and cite, one emergency room or trauma physician who relies
on prayer?

Yes and yes.
Are you comparing yourself to Socrates?
Do you believe in Athena?

Where is the "here" you refer to? Your workplace?
What would happen to someone who disagreed with christianity? Other than
being called bigots and otherwise villainized.
