It hurts our society and the results in less freedom. It hurts all
religions because less people will become religious and try to live
their lives to a standard higher than societies minimum.
Do you have any verifiable evidence whatsoever that religion causes

to behave better? Any evidence that the scare tactic of the hell myth

Obviously, those who are practicing their faith aren't behaving

Where would I find those statistics. I mostly post to political groups
in which we discuss the religious inclinations of founding the founding
fathers and how our social ills escalate as we divert from their
precedents. For instance, Benjamin Rush, the founder of the
Philadelphia Bible Society, in his first work calling for free public
schools he says, "Such is my veneration for every religion that
reveals the attributes of the Deity, or a future state of rewards and

Ever heard the term "dumbed down"? That is the effect that religion has.
Just look at fake Pastor Franks posts as an example.
I've never heard of him. I work a department where you have to have a
degree to get a job. There's a healthy Bible study here and I've
noticed that religious faith doesn't descriminate against levels of
intelligence. However, the political climate here is such that
Christophobes and other bigots are forced to confine their opinions to
the internet.
Obviously people with degrees submit to the dumbing down effects of
religion; not exclusively for uneducated people. But early in christianity,
most common people were illiterate and the ruling elite were able to read
and write; they obviously didn't want the masses to read or think for
themselves.

Care to guess what would happen to trauma victims and other seriously ill
people if there were no emergency rooms and ambulances took them to
churches where they were prayed for instead?
Can you name, and cite, one emergency room or trauma physician who relies
on prayer?
