Houston. The article, far from being an exeption, is a accurate
representation of the callousness and evil that have become trademark

What struck me most about the article is how desperately Houstonians
want to put this behind them, without having yet paid the full penalty
for what they did. Indeed, even though the figurehead criminals have
not yet even been sentenced, much less served their time, the author
comments on how "the failure did not linger" and "the myth of the
wounded victim endures".
