Have you axctually read the Bible? All of it? And looked at the
history,
Jewish roots, etc of it? Have you studied the people who wrote the
Bible
and
the people they wrote to? Do you read and study the writings of
people
who
know Biblical history, etc (both secular and religious people I
mean)?
Have
you studied Biblical hermenutics? Do you intend to do these things?
If
not
then really you can't comment on the Bible can you?
Without accepting the validity of apologetic claims & tools, one can
comment on the xian grimoirie, you see, it is obvious what is meant
until someone muddies the waters by claiming what was written was not
what was meant. Supposedly, the xian grimoire is the word of several
gods, Which I can name a few of those gods & several if their epiteths
& claims, one goddess for sure, & various other 2 bit deity types.
Now, if the claim is valid, the story could have been written to be
understood by all nations, not just one. The same theme of a
secretive god is found in the worship of Io. Only the priests really
knew what Io wanted, & there were none to nay say them.
I have one small request. Please take the insulting and snide tone from your
posts. I find it personally insulting when you use the word "xian". It is at
best lazy and at worst insulting (I do know of the supposed ancient roots) I
personally ask that as a favor to me you withold from this.
I may not agree with many of the people and posts I answer but I attempt
(sometimes failing - sorry) to be civil and mature.
And as for my answer. Please name the gods you think wrote the Bible.
Because, as we all know, fairy tales automatically become real if
you read a lot of them.
I see you clearly have not done any of the things I said. Or you don't
know
what a fairy tale is.
Indeed, it is obvious you don't know what a fairy tale is, it can be a
just so story [Genesis] it can be something to give you the warm
fuzzies [from teh xian mythology "babay jesus loves you", or it can be
an adaption of the heroes storys from various cultures, say the Irish
cycles. In no caseis it required to be true, just as there is no real
requiorement for the xian grimoirie to be historiucally or factually
true. & it is not close to 30% true from my reading.
I would like to know your reasoning for drawing the line between the true
and the false. What is the 30% you think is true. I will be generous. I will
allow you 25%. Please detail this 25%.
If you are going to comment or pass judgement then really you need
to
learn
first. In order to be a teacher you must first be a student.
Not really, or else you know nothing about oral traditions, the
probable primary sourse of the xian grimoirie. We find many tales
adapted to the xian myth that are traceable to other civilizations.
Please detail this. I would be surprised if any of these things had not been
covered by others wiser than oursleves. Then again perhaps you have found
some new facts undermining the while of Chrisitanity.
In order to be a teacher and not merely a confuser of minds, you must
have something worth teaching. Did you simply forget to post your
proof that it was all worth teaching, and your god really exists?
Did I mention God? No. I simply said that to comment on the Bible you
must
know your subject. If you want to discus the existnce of God I suggest
you
start another thread.
God, in the revealed god of the desert sense of Judaic & Xian
muythology is the "author" of their grimoire, supposedly by insiring
his favorite toy of the moment to act as his earthly scribe [a concet
found in Summerian & Babylonian mytholgies first] & record its
brainfarts. Only, there is no evidence for the author, so the book is
highly suspect unless you already beleive in that particular
mid-eastern myth.
I refuse to answer that point because of the insulting tone and obvious
attempts to sggrivate me. Please rephrase in a more adult way.
And before anybody asks. Yes - do and have done all of the thigs I
mentioned. I read and have read the Bible and studied it from both
the
anti-christian, agnostic, and christian views. And I recommed others
do
the
same.
Congratulations, my stomach turns to much reading it any more, but
then, I've been where things commanded by that god were in fact done.
RVN was not a real fun thing to do, & the worst offenders on the US
side quoted their grimoirie for there conduct. So No thanks, I won't
continue to read it again. Besides, I'm reading the other bibles of
humanity, most of which are older than that blueprint for how to do
evil in the name of god[tm R].
What are you reading then?
Yeah, right. So, a few simple question will be easy for you.
Though the questions are irrelevant to the post I made I will answer
them.
1) How many Christian gods are there?
Christainity teaches that there is one true God. It says that there are
many
other false gods made by man. But there is only one true God.
The question was, how many gods are in the xian mythology, not what it
says about the true gods of humanity. Hint, it is over six, less than
200.
The Bible says there is one true god and many false gods. In fact it uses
the word "many". I am interested in what you have to say on the subject.
Please detail the 6-200 that you know of and where in the Bible they are
mentioned.
2) Is it good to murder an innocent if you believe you were asked
to by a god?
Your question is faulty on several points.
No its not, for the god of the xian mythology order such acts for
petty reasons or no other reason than they were supposedly on land he
promised the Jews, & he never even informed the people that he ordered
killed, destroyed, or in the case of young females, slaves or worse,
wives.
"Never informed" is factually incorrect. I suggest you read the Bible before
commenting.
1. There has only ever been one innocent person according to
Christianity -
Jesus. God sent him to be killed for the world. So clearly God has
allowed
the unjust murder of an innocent.
Actually, there were many saviours, krishna being a fairly recent on,
Mirtha another. But thanks for verifying you don't intend to answer
the question.
The point was not "saviours" but innocence.
2. I would not listen to "a god" but only to the one ture God.
& which one of the xian gods is that. Remeber, the question is not
what do think the number of gods are in the xian myth, but how many
are there.
3. I would have to know and not believe in order to even consider the
question.
You can know & be a believer, but it requires you to read, research &
think for yourself. A thing not normally encougaed for those that
followthe grimoire of the god of Abraham.
Though a thing that should be encouraged. The Bible encourages it all over
the place.
If you would care to rephrase the question in order for it to actually
fit a
Christian world view then I will answer it.
You mean if he would care to rephrase the question in a manner that
you have a stock answer for, you might just be willing to consider
answering the question.
I simply was trying to avoid strawmen.
3) Exactly how big was Noah's ark?
Read the measurements in the Bible. Genesis Chapters 6 to 9.
wasn't the question now was it. Typical evasion & no surpise.
errr. what do you mean. He asked how big the ark was and I told him to go
and read in the Bible where the measurements were. He seemed ok with the
answer.
In the following list, there is at least one name that is not meant to
be used for the xian gods [inclusive], care to point it out & explain
to the audience which one it is?
el el berith eloah elohim el olam el roi el rophe elyon el
shaddy el shaddi beth el be lu el berith baalat baal shamem
baal zebub baetyl [as attested by the numerous examples in the Negev &
Siani deserts], belial
I believe that might keep you busy for at least 5 minutes. BTW, those
names are in your grimoirie.
Why don't you humor me and tell me (so you know that I can answer this I
will tell you that two of them are the same thing spelled differently - can
you tell me which?)
walksalone who understands the god threats from the xain grimoirie
.
