As I write this all the news channels are providing wall-to-wall
coverage of the Eric Rudolph story. All but one, that is. Fox News is
burying the story and pumping their American Taliban audience full of
***** with stories about the U.N, the flu-strain threat, John Bolton's
people skills, DeLay victimization, the Mathew Musladin "button" case
and sex education by prostitutes.
Eric Robert Rudolph evidently is guilty of bombing an abortion clinic,
a gay club and the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. The bombings were accompanied
by letters claiming that they were the work of the "Army of God". For a
time in his teenage years, Rudolph's mother took him to Missouri to
live with a religious sect called Christian Identity, which opposes
abortion, homosexuality and interracial marriage.
Now days the right-wing wackos don't need to leave home anymore to be
indoctrinated. All they need to do is watch Fox News, listen to George
Bush and read the posts of their fellow wackos on these newsgroups.
Good old Christian Identity. That Old Tyme Religion that so many
Christians lament is a thing of the past -- which it isn't.

I can't stand Faux News any more than the next rational thinker, but
I'm looking at their web site right now, and Eric Rudolph is right
there at the top.

They're forced to carry some news. I was also surprised to see the
San Gabriel Valley Tribune carry him -- and they're just as right
wing extremist as FOX "News." I think far right fakes like FOX are
forced to carry stuff that exposes Republican values.

They're forced to carry some news.
By the administration.
They offered a terrorist a deal when they didn't have to.
As part of that deal, they allowed him to include a
lunatic right-wing statement as part of his "confession."
Not only are they going easier because he's a right-wing
terrorist, but they're helping to promote his ideology
amongst his fellow lunatic right-wingers.
Hmmm... just as Bush's brother gave the abortion
doctor murderer a press conference before executing
him.
Seriously. They can't be martyrs unless people are
allowed to hear their stories.
Anyhow, the Bush administration desperately needs
to whitewash this. So, the right-wing news agencies
have no choice but to carry the story, in order to
further promote the administration's spin on the situation.
You see, the had no choice but to offer a crazed
terrorist a deal, and help him promote his agenda,
because... um... because... well... you see, they're
new at this. That's right. They have no idea what
makes people like themselves tick. They haven't
the faintest clue as to how to go about tracking
and capturing wanted criminals.
That's the claim anyhow.

He's right.
Why did Rudolph bomb the Olympics? What did the people attending a
sporting event have in common that could justify killing them to his
warped mind?
There were obviously a statistical mix of pro-choice and pro-illegal
abortion folk. They were a mixture of straight and gay.
Bush crime family lost/embezzled $3 trillion from Pentagon.
Complicit Bush-friendly media keeps mum.

.. . .

.. . .
Prosecutors say Rudolph, a right wing extremist, chose the Atlanta
Olympics to embarrass the U.S. government in the eyes of the world,
because of what he called its abominable sanctioning of abortion, which
he considers murder.
http://www.voanews.com/english/2005-04-14-voa78.cfm
The plea bargain is obviously a big plus for the Bush administration
since that will prevent Americans from being bombarded for 6 months or
so with trial details and pictures and interviews with victims and
discussions of the ramifications of pandering to right wing bible
thumpers in order to get their vote.
