You have provided some of the bloodthirsty, merciless texts I referred
to.
You refer to old and new covenants, and that some Christians don't
BELIEVE in the old. I find this really strange. The way I see it,
there could be no new without an old.

Aren't we all glad when the new is better than the old?

And as the old in many ways is

an affront to basic human rights, Christians have a dilemma.

No. Judaism has the problem. If you don't believe me, ask any Arab

under

Jewish occupation.

They

believe, on one hand, that Jesus is the fulfillment of OT laws, and on
the other hand, that he taught a code of ethics, in many cases almost
totally incongruous with OT ethics.

Hallalujah for that fact.

The OT seems to be about putting
up walls between Jews and gentiles, and the NT about breaking them
down.

Again, hallelujah for that fact.

(At least in Paul's writings). If the OT laws were given by

Yahweh, then Jesus and Yahweh are clearly not related.

YHWH gave us the law along with the "curse of the law" (Gal:3:13)

The whole Bible
is a mishmash of incompatible ideas and teachings. This is clear to
all but those banking on its pie-in-the-sky false hopes.

It's called growth, and if you have read the OT and the NT, you feel
like the OT is like a vine, but the NT is the glorious flowering and
fruiting of that vine.
We rest our hopes in Christ. For us Christ was and still is real.

For

you He is "pie in the sky false hopes". That is unfortunate and you will

be

missed in the Kingdom of His Heaven.

THE MANDATE OF JESUS
**Jesus in Lk:4:18: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath
anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal

the

broken-hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind.
**Jesus in Mk:2:17: When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that

are

whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not

to

call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
**Jesus in Lk:9:56: For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's

lives,

but to save them.
**Jesus Mt:18:11: For the Son of man is come to save that which was

lost.

**Jesus in Jn:12:47: And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I

judge

him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
**Jesus in Mt:11:28-30 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I

am

gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For

my

yoke is easy and my burden is light."

No "glorious flowering" could come from that vine. <

That blasphemous presumption and/or prejudice makes you an atheist and
me a Christian, 'nuff said. I would suggest you join your like-minded
brethren in atheist NGs. I will post you over to some.
