sure. you can even post to Usenet while on it. <eg>
..and who the hell talked you into doing it the first time?
the girl i was with.
but there was a critical first step.
all my life i had been adamantly opposed to using any kind of drug,
including marijuana. from the anti-drug propaganda i had been exposed to, i
believed that smoking weed would lead to serious consequences.
one night, my ex-wife and i were dining out with a friend. we had some wine.
we were all somewhat intoxicated and this friend talked about his weed
smoking experiences and how nice it would be to have a joint after such an
evening together. so it seemed okay to do it that one time and we scored
some weed and our friend introduced us to weed that night. this was early
'97.
my experience with weed was so benign that it caused me to doubt all the
anti-drug propaganda i had ever heard. i mean, the evils of weed had been so
hyped that when i experienced it for myself and discovered that it was no
big deal, i just thought that the stuff i had heard about other drugs was
exaggerated. weed to me is still no big deal. you can have some powerful
trips on it, but its nothing compared to crack. it is not addictive.
later that year, a girl gave me a very small hit of crack and it was pretty
good and again no big deal. i didn't start using it myself after that. i
just kinda forgot about it.
in sept of '97 i met the woman who introduced me to it properly. i was
offered a smallish hit and i tried it. the effect was very good and very
potent. this was a real drug! it made me feel very horny too - this is a
common experience. i got into using it with her and starting using it myself
on my own too.
i think in retrospect, that the anti-drug propaganda i had heard re
marijuana did me a disservice. if i had heard a truthful message about it, i
believe that i would have remained firm in my conviction not to try a hard
drug that crack is. i recall that in the previous year ('96) i had been
offered crack (by a girl), but i firmly declined.
i can't say that i regret becoming a crack user. it is an exciting life. i
got to experience a type of lifestyle that most people will never. i became
part of a whole sub-culture that is not understood at all by normal folks.
mainstream society has no idea what it is really like to use a hard drug. no
amount of books, movies or third party accounts can clue you in. like, that
famous line from the original Matrix movie, "you have to see it for
yourself."
mainstream society may pity crack users, but many crack users pity normal
folks. they have done something that normal folks are petrified of doing.
there's a feeling that one is part of a secret society which has knowledge
others will never share. there's a feeling of superiority that one has done
something that others are terrified of doing. the illegal lifestyle, the
cloak and daggerness of it all, is part of the thrill. if one day it is
legalised, that will be a lost thrill to many.

but there was a critical first step.
all my life i had been adamantly opposed to using any kind of drug,

believed that smoking weed would lead to serious consequences.
it can, if you live in an uptight, politically correct society like
the U.S.
one night, my ex-wife and i were dining out with a friend. we had some wine.
we were all somewhat intoxicated and this friend talked about his weed
smoking experiences and how nice it would be to have a joint after such an
evening together. so it seemed okay to do it that one time and we scored
some weed and our friend introduced us to weed that night. this was early

nope. i looked it up on google. that is a new NA meeting that wasn't around

roll yer own. always. never smoke something someone else hands you unless
you watched them prepare it.

after that. i just kinda forgot about it.

much on her. it was just second hand scrappings, i reckon.
I thought the nature of how crack's made pretty much makes it all the
same 'consistency'
second hand scrappings is leftovers in the pipe. she didn't give me much
because she was being selfish. most crack users are ungenerous with their
drug.
i remember when i first started using, i was pretty naive about it all.
later, though, i realised that i had to watch the people i was using with
constantly. i couldn't leave any of my stash with them out of my sight for a
second, or they would start stealing it. not only that, but they'd start
helping themselves to whatever else they wanted.
i stopped using with others because i discovered that i could not trust any
of them for a second. they all are pathological liars, lying even when lying
is not necessary. they are thieves and rogues who cannot be trusted.
whatever they tell you, you can disregard immediately - it is not the truth.
if they say they will do something later, they cannot be trusted to be
reliable.
in sept of '97 i met the woman who introduced me to it properly. i was
offered a smallish hit and i tried it. the effect was very good and
very potent. this was a real drug! it made me feel very horny too -
this is a common experience. i got into using it with her and starting
using it myself on my own too.

yes. many people use it to get in the mood. however, i can't have sex
when i'm rushing. i have to recover first. some can, though. some men,
stick it in, and then take a hit. i'd just get soft right away.
you're not doing a good job of selling me crack
if you start using it, you will change very rapidly. you will become a
totally different person. you will soon grow to hate that new person you
have become, because your morality will disappear little by little. although
it is possible that you may not perceive it yourself - you may remain
convinced that you are a wonderful person and everyone else is a fuckup, but
you will become a fuckup. you will become a liar, a cheat and a thief,
someone who cannot be trusted.
i pity most those useless pieces of ***** who cannot see what they have
become, who deny it to themselves and to others. fortunately, i saw what i
had become and i despised myself for it. when i quit using, i regained my
morality again.
but I saw the effects of acid on this
guy in our frat which more than firmly convinced me to stay away from
the hard stuff
i decided not to migrate and experiment with other drugs. i decided that
crack was "bad enough". i didn't wish to add to my problems.
what's worse than crack?
heroin. heroin is the worst drug to become addicted to.
mainstream society may pity crack users, but many crack users pity

superiority that one has done something that others are terrified of
doing. the illegal lifestyle, the cloak and daggerness of it all, is
part of the thrill. if one day it is legalised, that will be a lost
thrill to many.
Which is exactly why legalizing all types of drugs would actually
lower the number of people who tried/got addicted in the first place.
it prolly would. it certainly would remove much of the air of mystery
that attracts many people to trying it.
Who knows.. maybe one day I'll get down in your neck of the woods and
we'll find some corruptible, defenseless young girls to start an
underground prostitution ring, ..or something
any girl that you might meet who uses crack will no doubt be streetwise and
be full of tricks.

crack has a sweet taste. but not sugary sweet. you'd have to
experience it for yourself to understand.
one hit is not going to addict you. try it.
No thanks.
It's true. The first few times you usually don't get off. I know I
didn't. It's tricky to smoke.
i always got high.
does it let you maintain control of your motory senses, i.e. - you
feel "high", but you can still maintain control?
sure. you can even post to Usenet while on it. <eg>
that explains everything! <veg>
well, actually, it explains nothing. see, normal people assume that a
person on crack is mentally impaired or highly aggressive or something.
it does vary from person to person. i've seen some people go ape-***** on
crack. i never did. i just got high and felt good.
did you ever go to Khanyisa Waldorf? <veg>
nope. i looked it up on google. that is a new NA meeting that wasn't around
when i was still attending.
you oughtta sit at the back of the room and throw spitwads
my experience with weed was so benign that it caused me to doubt all
the anti-drug propaganda i had ever heard. i mean, the evils of weed
had been so hyped that when i experienced it for myself and discovered
that it was no big deal, i just thought that the stuff i had heard
about other drugs was exaggerated. weed to me is still no big deal.
you can have some powerful trips on it, but its nothing compared to
crack. it is not addictive.
Some fairly strong weed caused me to miss nearly 3/4s of the Robert
Plant concert I had been literally the first (out of 17,000) to get
tickets for. I was zombified after my 8th or 9th hit
well *****, that's a lot to pull down. it's not a cigarette, ya know.
I have a feeling they laced it.
roll yer own. always. never smoke something someone else hands you unless
you watched them prepare it.
<throwing away carton of cigarettes>
later that year, a girl gave me a very small hit of crack and it was
pretty good and again no big deal. i didn't start using it myself
after that. i just kinda forgot about it.
so much for it being "instantly addicting"
it can be. it really depends on how you use it. i only had one very small
hit that night. hardly much at all. it didn't do much. she didn't have
much on her. it was just second hand scrappings, i reckon.
I thought the nature of how crack's made pretty much makes it all the
same 'consistency'
second hand scrappings is leftovers in the pipe. she didn't give me much
because she was being selfish. most crack users are ungenerous with their
drug.
it's almost as cheap as pot, ain't it?
i remember when i first started using, i was pretty naive about it all.
later, though, i realised that i had to watch the people i was using with
constantly. i couldn't leave any of my stash with them out of my sight for a
second, or they would start stealing it. not only that, but they'd start
helping themselves to whatever else they wanted.
that's a good argument for not legalizing addictive drugs
...broke users would be highly likely to knock off pharmacies
i stopped using with others because i discovered that i could not trust any
of them for a second. they all are pathological liars, lying even when lying
is not necessary. they are thieves and rogues who cannot be trusted.
whatever they tell you, you can disregard immediately - it is not the truth.
if they say they will do something later, they cannot be trusted to be
reliable.
There's plenty of non-users that are exactly the same way
in sept of '97 i met the woman who introduced me to it properly. i was
offered a smallish hit and i tried it. the effect was very good and
very potent. this was a real drug! it made me feel very horny too -
this is a common experience. i got into using it with her and starting
using it myself on my own too.
maybe the real addiction is the 'horny' aspect
yes. many people use it to get in the mood. however, i can't have sex
when i'm rushing. i have to recover first. some can, though. some men,
stick it in, and then take a hit. i'd just get soft right away.
you're not doing a good job of selling me crack
if you start using it, you will change very rapidly. you will become a
totally different person. you will soon grow to hate that new person you
have become, because your morality will disappear little by little. although
it is possible that you may not perceive it yourself - you may remain
convinced that you are a wonderful person and everyone else is a fuckup, but
you will become a fuckup. you will become a liar, a cheat and a thief,
someone who cannot be trusted.
an argument for legalizing it.. and arming pharmacists with Mac 10s
i pity most those useless pieces of ***** who cannot see what they have
become, who deny it to themselves and to others. fortunately, i saw what i
had become and i despised myself for it. when i quit using, i regained my
morality again.
it sounds like they're much worse than alcoholics
but I saw the effects of acid on this
guy in our frat which more than firmly convinced me to stay away from
the hard stuff
i decided not to migrate and experiment with other drugs. i decided that
crack was "bad enough". i didn't wish to add to my problems.
what's worse than crack?
heroin. heroin is the worst drug to become addicted to.
you ever tried it?
mainstream society may pity crack users, but many crack users pity
normal folks. they have done something that normal folks are petrified
of doing. there's a feeling that one is part of a secret society which
has knowledge others will never share. there's a feeling of
superiority that one has done something that others are terrified of
doing. the illegal lifestyle, the cloak and daggerness of it all, is
part of the thrill. if one day it is legalised, that will be a lost
thrill to many.
Which is exactly why legalizing all types of drugs would actually

smoking crack isn't really smoking because you're not setting fire to
anything. you're simply heating the crack up so that you can inhale the
fumes which contain cocaine in freebase form, which is the purest form of
cocaine and the swiftest way to get it to your brain, where it makes you
high as a kite.
