Lie.
They were thrown off as part of a "program" that began
under the pretenses of targeting "convicted felons," but
these were not convicted felons. In fact, there is no
evidence to support the claim that any of the targeted
"convicted felons" were even in Florida at the time.

You're lying, Fred. You're intentionally misrepresenting the facts.
The reason the NAACP sued is precisely because the state of
Florida placed people on a "list of felons" who were not felons.
The state of Florida used a complicated grading system to
determine if a voter was a convicted felon. That grading system
assured the state of Florida -- beyond a shadow of a doubt -- that
many thousands of innocent voters would be denied their right to
vote.
What you're supposed to be claiming -- as a partisan Bushbot --
is that the whole thing was a big mistake and nobody intended
for it to happen like it did. Then you're supposed to ignore any

to restore the disenfranchised voters, and why a year after the
fact they still weren't on the voter lists.
Your Red Herring about their location at the time is duly noted.

The reason the NAACP sued is precisely because the state of
Florida placed people on a "list of felons" who were not felons.
The state of Florida used a complicated grading system to
determine if a voter was a convicted felon.
Oh spare me. The "complicated grading system" was a match between the
voter list and the convict list. Name, address, other information.
Nothing that would boggle the mind of any programmer who ever did a
search for a proper name out of a list. Proper name matches get
complicated.
That grading system
assured the state of Florida -- beyond a shadow of a doubt -- that
many thousands of innocent voters would be denied their right to
vote.
That's an estimate, not a count. There's nothing "beyond doubt" about it.
What you're supposed to be claiming -- as a partisan Bushbot --

Governor Jeb Bush agreed to restore those who were wrongly removed from
the registration list.
Your Red Herring about their location at the time is duly noted.
You're lying, again.
Get real. Where they actually were at the time of the election has
nothing to do with anything.
There is no evidence that any of the supposed
"convicted felons" were in the state of Florida at the time of the
election.

Um, Fred, if there was a "Match" it wouldn't have resulted
in 50,000 innocent people being denied their right to vote.
That's the point, Fred. If they were "Matching" people with
a list of felons then there wouldn't have been a lawsuit, and
Bush wouldn't have agreed to a settle to avoid a remedy
imposed by a judge.
It's one thing for you to argue what the "Intentions" were, it's
quite another to argue the facts more than a year after the
facts were established in court.
You can pretend it was all a big "Mistake," that brother Jeb
didn't mean to toss all those Democratic-voting black people
off the voter rolls, and then ignore how the man had to be
sued before agreeing to put them back on. You can do that,
Fred, but you can't pretend that voters were "Matched" by
an objectively-determined list of felons.
Not at this point, trolly, not more than a year after it was
proven in court that that wasn't the case.

I don't have to pretend. The fact, established in court, is that it was

Yeah. There's a sample of them in _The Best Democracy Money Can Buy_, by
Greg Palast. They include:
* Thomas Cooper, who committed his crime on 30th January 2007;
* Johnny Jackson, whose date of birth matched John Fitzgerald Jackson, a
convicted felon in Texas. Johnny Jackson has never been to Texas, and his
middle name is not Fitzgerald;
* Wallace McDonald, who was busted in 1959 for falling asleep at a bus stop.
He didn't lose his right to vote until he got "scrubbed" this time around;
* Willie Dixon, who was convicted decades ago, but has since received full
executive clemency;
* Randall J Higginbotham (born 8/28/1960) is apparently the same guy as
convicted felon Sean David Higginbotham, born 6/16/1971.
The sample size was 23 (one Excel screenshot) which Palast says he picked at
random.
