That message came as a surprise to me. If it be the case, then the

Well, two months later we had the Sri Lanka tsunami, then in August
2005 we had Hurricane Katrina, which had the damage of a couple of
atomic bombs, then about a year later we witnessed Israel surrender
the Gaza Strip to Hamas, and now this month we had a huge Chilean
earthquake and a cyclone in Bangladesh.

If Camping is accurate, the second half of the tribulation, the half
you want to be spared from, begins in April 2008.

If you are talking about the 7 year tribulation, that was probably World
War 2. Out of arrogance many people think that John the Revelator was
writing to someone other than the Jews. If you view the revelation as
being (1) written for the Jews and (2) contemplate that the first beast
was Germany in World War 1, the second beast that arose on the ashes of
the first is Germany before World War 2, that the beast would make peace
(Treaty of Yalta), saints would be numbered to buy or sell (Jews were
tattooed), one would be taken and one would be left (the taken ones went
to concentration camps); the first 3.5 years were one kind of tribulation
then the beast will violate his covenant of peace (invade Poland) and the
next 3.5 years will be hot war, for a total of 7 years (1938 to 1945).
Note also that this same revelation speaks to Babylon (Iraq), how all
nations will be forced to "drink the wine of the wrath of her iniquity"
which makes no sense at all until you equate wine with oil and realize
that yes, nations will do *anything* for oil, including to abandon Israel
which is to be her last and final punishment. Or so it seems to me.
Sincerely,
Michael

Not too hot on history, are you?
WWII started in 1939, bozo.
As usual, you Yanks arrived 2 years late for a world war.

Your delusions are meaningless to atheists.

People have been aligning contemporary events with
John's Revelation for 2000 years. It's a game that's
as common as it is hopeless.

It isnt hopeless when specific, modern events can be tied to it.

That cannot be done, since Revelation doesn't speak of oil,
nor tanks, nor nuclear weapons, nor the war in Iraq.
Futurists have been saying this crap for generations and
they always claim to be right, until they're shown to be
wrong and then they move on to the next target, without
ever admitting they were wrong 100 times already and
everyone just seems to forget about it and the books
are revised and every Futurist pretends the last edition
never existed, or that the writer got one number wrong
in his calculations, etc., etc.. Ad it never even occurs
to them that it was fulfilled. Why not? Because they
look at it and make whatever they want to be physically
literal just that, in a book of symbolism.

You have inadvertently connected your comment about tinfoil hats to a
