The Lord Jesus is the Lord God Almighty;
he and his Father are One.
Jesus is coming as bridegroom
to take us up to himself in the Rapture;
he is coming in joy to take his lovely one,
lovely because her righteousness is him.
Years afterwards, after the Tribulation,
he will be coming in wrath
against the global world rebellion
to deliver the rest of his elect.
All nations will see his glory in the sky,
and he will show his power over creation;
the sun will turn black and the moon red
and the starry heavens be dissolved
and fall to the earth.
There will be new heavens and new earth;
as he changed the original at the Flood,
so he will change the present.
The world that now staggers in unbelief
at the mighty power of the Almighty
and denies the original form of creation
will be running for the caves and mountains
in the day the nations see his glory.
But let all who hope in the Lord,
keep their trust for salvation on him,
walk in love as Jesus walks,
and watch continually for his coming
to take his people up to be with him forever.
