Hitler encounters the T0E as a child: A Victory for Atheism
In some of Hitler's speeches, he made reference to the "creator".
What, if anything, do you conclude from that?
a claim: Hitler was a Christian

"Hitler's speeches... reference to the 'creator'"
"Speeches" to who-- the voting public?
What, if anything, do you conclude from Darwin's use of [Darwin]"the
Creator" in the 6th edition of _Origin_?
Darwin
http://www.literature.org/authors/darwin-charles/the-origin-of-species-6th-edition/chapter-15.html
Thus, from the war of nature, from famine and death, the
most exalted object which we are capable of conceiving,
namely, the production of the higher animals, directly
follows. There is grandeur in this view of life, with its
several powers, having been originally breathed by the
Creator into a few forms or into one; and that, whilst this
planet has gone circling on according to the fixed law of
gravity, from so simple a beginning endless forms most
beautiful and most wonderful have been, and are being
evolved.
Do you think that when Darwin wrote [Darwin]"the Creator" seen above,
he was writing an equivalent of [Hitler, and Darwin]"Nature... she"?
[Hitler, and Darwin]"Nature... she"

What, if anything, do you conclude from Mencken's use of [Mencken]"God"
here?:
Mencken, H. L. 1918, 1922. _In Defense of Women_, (NY: Alfred A.
Knopf), 210pp. Text from

The most they can ever accomplish in the way of
genuine originality is an occasional brilliant spurt,
and half a dozen such spurts, particularly if they
come close together and show a certain co-
ordination, are enough to make a practitioner
celebrated, and even immortal. Nature, indeed,
conspires against all such genuine originality, and I
have no doubt that God is against it on His heavenly
throne, as His vicars and partisans unquestionably
are on this earth. The dead hand pushes all of us
into intellectual cages; there is in all of us a strange
tendency to yield and have done.
He was raised a Catholic.
Goebbels "was raised a Catholic." Do you consider the adult Goebbels
"a Catholic"?
1943 Goebbels & Hitler agree on "the insanity of the Christian doctrine
of redemption"

If you're trying to discredit any idea or institution he
could be associated with, then you're picking one, and leaving out others,
which hurts your credibility.
Also, ideas and theories can't be discredited just by pointing out who does
or doesn't agree with them. Stalin "believed" in nuclear physics enough to
put resources into an atomic bomb. Does that discredit nuclear physics?
No.
Hitler believed in Darwinian natural selection enough to put resources
into a human breeding project. Does that discredit Darwin's theory of
natural selection?

Text from
http://www.gutenberg.org/dirs/etext98/ndwmn11.txt
The most they can ever accomplish in the way of
genuine originality is an occasional brilliant spurt,
and half a dozen such spurts, particularly if they
come close together and show a certain co-
ordination, are enough to make a practitioner
celebrated, and even immortal. Nature, indeed,
conspires against all such genuine originality, and I
have no doubt that God is against it on His heavenly
throne, as His vicars and partisans unquestionably
are on this earth. The dead hand pushes all of us
into intellectual cages; there is in all of us a strange
tendency to yield and have done.

Answer. Natural selection uses the natural evironment. Breeding uses
unnatural selection based on arbitary decisions.. It also does not use
mutation in the same why eovlution does as the time scales are too
short. You get combinations from the existing gene pool and well all
know what happens when cousins marry.

Snip quotes (again)
As a clue you repeat the same mistake.
Hitler's human breeding plan using [1871 Darwin]"careful selection" +
mutations
Answer. Natural selection uses the natural evironment. Breeding uses
unnatural selection based on arbitary decisions..
"Breeding uses... arbitary decisions"
Not necessarily.
Yes necessarily. Breeding is an artificial activity based upon limited
knowledge and arbitary attributes (as opposed to holistic) that can
lead to enhanced ability in several things at the cost of others. It
can lead to animals, for example, unable to cope in the wild. Physical
alterations are nothign when compared to mental ones.
It also does not use
mutation in the same why eovlution does as the time scales are too
short.
Do plant and fruit fly breeders "use mutation"?
Not in the way nature does.
You get combinations from the existing gene pool and well all
know what happens when cousins marry.
What "happens when cousins marry"?
You limit the gene pool and, over generations, lead to a higher rate of
decay as genetic creep cannot be used as a way to patch up problems, in
simplistic terms. A diverse gene pool of interchangable parts allows
for better adaptation in the future.
What's the point of you arguing about evolution if you don't get what
it is?
What is [sd]"evolution"?
Why do you insist in asking questions that have already been answered?
What do you think evolution is? What is the difference between
eugenics and evolution?
Remember no urls or links to quotes as these never answer the questions
you are asked.

in work and accomplishment and creation, in life

leadership of a people. You, block leaders, block
wardens, cell leaders, cell wardens, must be that if
there are storms again in Germany, you must be a
refuge for the people, if sacrifices are again
demanded. You must say: "Citizens, stay calm! The
Fuhrer is always right!"
.... The people nearly perished. Catastrophe was
only narrowly averted. It was all due to the faith of
one man! Yes, you who called us godless, we found
our faith in Adolf Hitler, and through him found God
once again. .... You, citizen from the firm, you can
say: "I, too, lived during that time, I, too, believed in
Adolf Hitler."

What was this "fallacy" that you pointed out?
That Hilter was an athiest and that Darwin is directly responsible for
him killing millions.
Two fallacies right there.
As others have said - in mein kampf how many mentions of Darwin?
None. And 0 mentions of the word 'Malthus,' as well. Nevertheless,
Hitler clearly accepted Malthusian and Darwinian thinking.
Interesting, but you're not taking it far enough. Darwin's thought
was heavily influenced by what he learned from breeders, pigeon
breeders in particular. "The origin" reads like a pigeon
breeding manual at times; it's pigeons from one end to the other.
Both Darwin's insights and the examples he used to support
his conclusions are deeply indebted to generations of pigeon
breeders.
Therefore pigeon breeding was the inspiration for the Third Reich.

How about breeders of [Hitler]"dogs and horses"-- did Darwin learn
anything from them?
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Darwin:
Man scans with scrupulous care the character and
pedigree of his horses, cattle, and dogs before he
matches them; but when he comes to his own
marriage....
Compare
Hitler, Adolf. 1924, 1925. _Mein Kampf_, the chapter "The State,"
about 20 pages in; see also from about 15 to about 20 pages in. From
here-- do a control-f/ "find" for: dogs
http://www.hitler.org/writings/Mein_Kampf/mkv2ch02.html
The folkish philosophy of life which bases the State on
the racial idea must finally succeed in bringing about a
nobler era, in which men will no longer pay exclusive
attention to breeding and rearing pedigree dogs and
horses and cats, but will endeavour to improve the breed
of the human race itself. That will be an era of silence and
renunciation for one class of people, while the others will
give their gifts and make their sacrifices joyfully.
Compare this Darwin:
he [man] might by selection do
something not only for the bodily constitution and frame
of his offspring, but for their intellectual and moral
qualities.

No, Hitler merely accepted Gobineau's rancid racism and
extremist Volkgeist mythology. All this predated Darwin.
Paul Lagarde one of the premiere racists was demanding
expulsion of the Jews and take over of the East in name
of the German superior master race 30 years before the Nazis.
A book of his collected essays was in Hitler's library,
extensively annotated in Hitler's own handwriting.
None of this came from Darwin, all came from ideologies
that long predated Darwin. Had Darwin never lived,
the results would have been the same.
And there were many other low grade hateful racists
of lagard's type, from the upper echelons such as Chamberlain,
to low grade ranters such as found in Der Stermer and
other ranting popularizer's of naked racism. Langbehn,
Muller and other writers of scurrilous racist books,
pamphlets, speeches and racist organizations.
You are as usual, a hatefilled liar and with an agenda
of hate and extremism.
The Germans as superior to their neighbors.
Again, you lie because the truth is not in you.
This is why religion is evil, it make fools into
dangerous fools.

Not clearly enough as Darwin's ideas are incompatable with the idea of
eugenics.
How many mentions of God and 'the Lord'?
A few.
Yep.
Previously I didnt really care and thought it best to avoid all
mentions to Hitler (there's a usenet rule that if you mention Hitler
you loose any debate by default). Now you've just taught me Hitler
wasnt an athiest.
Hitler was an atheism-adherent.
Not according to your answer above. To say he was an atheist would now
appear to be trying to mislead.

You do not need Darwin to say, "Let us kill our
neighbors and steal their land".
People have been doing this since time immemorial.
Germans did this too, like man has done since time memorial.
Mongols justified this on the grounds that only the herdsmen
Mongols with their horses and cattle and nomadic ways
were truely human, and farmers and towns people were
not.
Germans justified their attacks on their neighbors on
false claims they were a superior race compared to
their neighbors.
All else is far right christian extremism, hate
and stupidity.
The same sort of fantasies that fed Nazism.
Darwinism has long been a part of the intellectual
understanding of advanced and scientific Western
nations. It has been exactly this sort of civilization
that has defeated the racist Germans, the Lysenkoist
Communists, and why the backwards Islamic world
is backwards and mired in illiteracy and poverty.
They don't have science and Darwinism means little
to them.
What christians like the miserable and utterly
dishonest ford want is to become ignorant again.
But ignorance does not work as we have seen, so it
cannot be an option.
To abandon Darwin is to abandon science for
the failed doctrines of superstition.
Backwards fundamentalist christianity is a
failure, its false, its wrong.
