After reading part of Judge Jone's decision (at:
http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/2005/images/12/20/kitzmiller.pdf),
it's clear that he did not simply rule on the
isolated Dover case but really took the ID crowd
to the woodshed. I'm sure there will be an appeal
but the ID kooks definitely suffered a fatal
setback today. The good Judge left them little if
any wiggle-room that would give them additional
openings in the future.
Who would have standing to appeal besides the school board? The ones who
wasted the school district's time and money were almost all thrown out
last month and I cannot imagine the new school board appealing.
It will be interesting to see what influences this
might have in Kansas.
People who want to share their religious
views with you almost never want you to
share your views with them.
