At it's very worst, Dan Rather was basically attacked by a government
who can't stand criticism.
Um, NO, retard, wrong on ALL counts. It was the blogosphere that did
Hurricane Dan in when in a matter of hours, it was obvious to anyone
with a firing synapse left in their skull that the documents he used to
try to smear Bush with were typed on a modern day word processor. Note
I said firing synapse was required to make the observation - no wonder
you didn't catch it. Either way, the "government" did absolutely
NOTHING to Rather, although the FCC certainly could have and should
have fined the living ***** out of CBS for using forged documents to try
to affect the outcome of a national election.
Oh, and lest I forget - Bush was not a deserter. He served
