Sounds like pity to me.
Sounds like you need to get a dictionary. Pity is sympathy, not empathy.
You love your children because you pity them.
Okay, so in your book to love someone means you don't care if they suffer
or are
in pain. I'm sure glad you don't live anywhere near me or my children.
I think you just crashed yourself, fake Sage. Pity means exactly the
opposite from what you say the word means. If you have pity, you DO care
about the suffering of others. But those loved don't EVER want to feel being
loved out of pity "for their suffering or pain".
That proves you are merely a contrarian, and no matter what anyone says,
you will say the opposite. I am talking to an automaton and you can call me
stupid if you want for not catching on sooner.
I would suggest you find a home in NGs that represent your views, like
news:alt.atheism etc. I will cross post you over to them.
Pastor Frank
SATAN'S MINIONS
Jesus in John 8:44: Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of
your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode
not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie,
he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Mt:6:21: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mt:12:34: O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good
things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
Mt:12:35: A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth
forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth
evil things.
2Pt:3:3: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days
scoffers, walking after their own lusts.

No, wrong again phony Pastor.
Pity means exactly the
opposite from what you say the word means. If you have pity, you DO care
about the suffering of others. But those loved don't EVER want to feel being
loved out of pity "for their suffering or pain".
Here is a dictionary link... http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=pity
Here is what that dictionary link says about pity, sympathy, and empathy...
"Synonyms: pity, compassion, commiseration, sympathy, condolence, empathy
These nouns signify kindly concern aroused by the misfortune, affliction, or
suffering of another. Pity often implies a feeling of sorrow that inclines
one to help or to show mercy: felt pity for the outcast...Sympathy denotes
the act of or capacity for sharing in the sorrows or troubles of
another...Empathy is an identification with and understanding of another's
situation, feelings, and motives..."
So when I said I had empathy for the suffering or pain of my children, that
means it wasn't pity.
You stand corrected.
Get a dictionary and learn to use it ignorant phony Pastor.
