Don't you know evolution is a farce? You are obviously a product of the
brain washing which goes on in our Schools, Colleges and Universities.
I have seen the desperate lengths these Professors and Scientists go to
make people believe in evolution, even fabricating evidence to support
their unsupportable theories.
1st Rule of Creationism: Ignored evidence will go away
2nd Rule of Creationism: Interpret any challenge as personal insult
3rd Rule of Creationism: Claim evidence then quietly slip away
4th Rule of Creationism: Don't be confused by facts
5th Rule of Creationism: Insist that science ignores your proof
6th Rule of Creationism: Claim superiority for Christian education.
7th Rule of Creationism: Always appear to know more than you do.
8th Rule of Creationism: Shift the burden of proof to your critics.
9th Rule of Creationism: Lying for the Lord is okay.

OK, prove it.
Prove what? That there's no objective evidence that he ever lived?
That's your job - to provide objective evidence that he DID live. But
if you want all the "evidence" that doesn't exist, all the "evidence"
that isn't evidence, etc., I'd have to put it on a web page and point
you there. There's just too much to post to usenet.
That there's evidence that Jesus - as defined in the bible - didn't
exist? Let's see:
He came from "Nazareth", right? At the time of his supposed birth,
the place where Nazareth now sits was a cemetery. Jesus was supposed
to be a Jew. Jews don't live near cemeteries - it's against their
religion.
Jesus the Nazarene? That's Mark. And, if he had read Judges 13:5,
and understood it, he would have known that 'Nazarite' didn't mean
'who comes from Nazareth'. "Nazareth" wasn't occupied until around
135 AD - LONG after the whole story. And it was occupied by ...
Evyonim-Nosrim, who named their village 'Nazareth' or the village of
'The Poor'. Nothing to do with any Jesus.
Oh, and all villages, towns, cities that date back at least a few
hundred years have ruins under them from the previous cities on whose
foundations they were built. Not just in the Jerusalem area. London,
Moscow. All old cities. Nazareth has none that date back 2,000
years.
Mary Magdalene? A woman who came from a place called Magdala on the
west of Lake Kinneret? "Magdalene" clearly resembles the Aramaic term
"mgadla nshaya," meaning "women's hairdresser." As mentioned before,
there was a belief that Yeshua's mother was "Miriam the women's
hairdresser." Because the Christians did not know what the name
"Magdalene" meant, they later conjectured that it meant that she had
come from a place called Magdala on the west of Lake Kinneret. The
idea of the two Marys fitted in well with the pagan way of thinking.
The image of Jesus being followed by the two Marys is strongly
reminiscent of Dionysus being followed by Demeter and Persephone.

Some things to give us "faith" that the story is true:
"Josephus, the first century Jewish historian mentions no fewer than
nineteen different Yeshuas/Jesii, about half of them contemporaries of
the supposed Christ! In his Antiquities, of the twenty-eight high
priests who held office from the reign of Herod the Great to the fall
of the Temple, no fewer than four bore the name Jesus: Jesus ben
Phiabi, Jesus ben Sec, Jesus ben Damneus and Jesus ben Gamaliel. Even
Saint Paul makes reference to a rival magician, preaching ‘another
Jesus’ (2 Corinthians 11,4)."

For the sake of arguement. I'm an atheist, and think that while there
may have been a historical itenerant preacher in Roman Judea named
Ieshuva ben-Joesph, what made it into the Gospels is a mismash of the
acts of others, older myths, and outright invention.

Yes, when early christians couldn't quite agree on a common dogma the
trifecta eventually won out; Jesus came once (was born), came twice (rose

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?

Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

what tomb? nobody has ever found this alleged tomb.
"When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named
Joseph,
who also himself was Jesus' disciple: He went to Pilate, and begged
the body of
Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered. And when
Joseph had
taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, And laid it
in his own new
TOMB, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great
stone to the
door of the sepulchre, and departed." Matthew 27:57-60
this proves nothing. it is your bible that says the tomb was empty to
begin with. then when i ask where this tomb is, you point back to the
bible! tombs are real objects that can be examined just like any other
object. show me the tomb.
why does an all-powerful god need to have his only son murdered for
our sins to
go away? why cant he just forgive them?
It has to do with the authority of His Law which cannot be changed;
and it has to do
with the infinite love that He has for you that He would provide a
way that you....yes
you, may live forever with Him in a world without sickness, suffering
or death.
Andrew
why cant it be changed? he can do whatever he wants. and what law says
that murder is necessary to forgive sin?

Andrew
do you have any idea how many tombs are on earth, let alone in the
jerusalem area? what makes you think this one is the correct one? maybe
its that sign on the door (which is in english for some reason)?

LOL! That's one of the three main contenders for "Jesus' tomb" you'll
find in Jerusalem. Palestinian sharpies will happily take your money
to lead you to any old hole in the wall that was once a tomb (there
are thousands of empty tombs in the area.. Jerusalem has been a city
for close to 4,000 years) and tell you it was the final resting place
of Jesus, please pay in American dollars.

that only hurts your case, not helps it. if there are at least 3 empty
tombs, then we know that finding an empty tomb is not evidence for
jesus, because there are at least 2 empty tombs that did not belong to
him.

Which of course, proves nothing.
Or are you now claiming that there were three different saviors? Or
maybe, the three days in the tomb, (which it wasn't, more like 36
hours), was actually, one day in each?
My my, but he does get around. Gives a whole new meaning to the term,
"sleeping around".
