I most certainly do not assume that "the only options are atheism and
Catholicism". I was merely framing my comments in the context of what was
already out there.
I don't even know if it is appropriate to define myself as an agnostic. In
reality, I'm more of a Christian-agnostic (meaning, doubtful of the
Christian
conceptualization of God) and a practical animist or witch, which puts me
significantly closer to Hell, if the Christians are right, than agnosticism
ever would.
It's just that I'm trained in the Western Tradition and understand Christian
symbols and termonology. I apologize.
