BTW, I do not know the US market that well, but I would be
surprised if a
computer would really have to cost $2000. Not even brand new. And
when
you have only very little money a three/four year old one from the
second
hand store will do just fine. Some people/companies where I live
give
them away for free to schools and charities.
They give away to school and charities and not to inviduals.
Perhaps where you are, but around here there _are_ (or have been,
anyway) free computers being given to poor people. In addition, there
are people like me who have too many old computers/parts lying about
that need to go to a new home, just so we can fill the space back up
with newer stuff (except that I collect old computer gear).
