No one in the republican party dares defend the criminal acts of Bush.

Lying us into a disastrous quagmire of a war for oil profits is "nothing

Those weren't lies; they were false projections.

Other Bush lies:

"We've never been 'stay the course.'"

That's a silly mistake from a man whose brain is addled.

"Uranium from Africa"

That was British intelligence.

"smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud"

Not a lie.

"I'm a uniter, not a divider"
"I'm going to bring dignity back to the White House"
"I, George Walker Bush, do solemnly swear to uphold the Constitution"

When you include those as lies, you weaken your argument. There
aren't that many bald-faced lies out there. "Ally of Al Qaeda" is
one. I think you can count Cheny's deranged insistence on an
Atta-Iraqi agent meeting in Czechoslovakia - as if that proved

category.

Projections aren't stated in the past tense.

That's a silly mistake from a man whose brain is addled.

It's a lie. He repeatedly said he would stay the course, and then
categorically denied it.

"Uranium from Africa"

That was British intelligence.

It was a falsehood, and Bush knew it. Ergo, it was a lie.

"smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud"

Not a lie.

Yes, a lie. Iraq had no WMDs and Bush knew it.

<LOL> He needs no-one to defend him. First of all, there is

no-one

to defend him from and second, he has done nothing that needs
defending.

Lying us into a disastrous quagmire of a war for oil profits is

"nothing

You, nor anyone else, has come up with any evidence of him lying

"We have removed an ally of al-Qaida" -- Bush, May 1 2003, from
the deck of the USS Lincoln, referring to the removal of Saddam
Hussein.

Don't forget about "Mission Accomplished" and "Major combat operations
have
ended."

Those weren't lies; they were false projections.

Really? You don't often see verbs in projections that end in "-ed".

When you say something has ended, you are actually making a
statement about the future. Think about it.

No, that's past tense.

Other Bush lies:

"We've never been 'stay the course.'"

That's a silly mistake from a man whose brain is addled.

"Uranium from Africa"

That was British intelligence.

No, it wasn't.

"The British government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently
sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa." State of
the Union address, 2003. Bush is referring to the Butler Report.
See

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butler_Report

Yeah, the "sixteen words" that turned out to be a lie.

LOL. Except the previous poster already established that
those sixteen words weren't a lie. Bush was referring to
the Butler Report. It's funny, Zippy never realizes when
a cite debunks him. Whether the claim is this one or
his equally goofy claim that Earth's surface temperatures
have increase 1.6 degrees in the last 50 years.

"smoking gun in the form of a mushroom cloud"

Not a lie.

Sure it was, in that it implied that Saddam had nuclear weapons.

Absolutely false. Condi said "The problem here is that there will
always be some uncertainty about how quickly he can acquire
nuclear weapons. But we don't want the smoking gun to be a
mushroom cloud." Bush took up the "mushroom" lingo later: "Many
people have asked how close Saddam Hussein is to developing a
nuclear weapon. We don't know exactly, and that is the problem.
... we cannot wait for the final proof -- the smoking gun -- that
could come in the form of a mushroom cloud."

Note the crickets.

"I'm a uniter, not a divider"
"I'm going to bring dignity back to the White House"
"I, George Walker Bush, do solemnly swear to uphold the Constitution"

When you include those as lies, you weaken your argument. There
aren't that many bald-faced lies out there. "Ally of Al Qaeda" is
one. I think you can count Cheny's deranged insistence on an
Atta-Iraqi agent meeting in Czechoslovakia - as if that proved
anything - as another, but that's also in the "Ally of Al Qaeda"
category.

How about "With the fall of Baghdad, the Hussein-Osama alliance has
ended"?

And where is that from?

Note the crickets.

The claim wasn't true, was it? It doesn't matter whether Bush actually
believed it at the time he made the statement. It's still a lie.
From the Criticism of the Butler Report on wikipedia

Nuclear expert Norman Dombey has pointed out that the information
relied upon by the Butler Review on the Niger issue was incomplete;
as he noted, "The Butler report says the claim was credible because
an
Iraqi diplomat visited Niger in 1999, and almost three-quarters of
Niger's
exports were uranium. But this is irrelevant, since France controls
Niger's
uranium mines."(Independent, 25 July 2004).
I fail to see how France's control of Niger's uranium mines is
relevant,
since the government of France assisted Saddam in building a breeder
reactor way back when.

Bush was referring to
the Butler Report. It's funny, Zippy never realizes when
a cite debunks him. Whether the claim is this one or
his equally goofy claim that Earth's surface temperatures
have increase 1.6 degrees in the last 50 years.

Actually, that's the majority of climatologists' "goofy claim."

No, it isn't. The consensus is that the Earth's surface temperatures
have risen 1 degree Fahrenheit in the last century. I have posted
numerous cites on this to Zippy, and it's common knowledge, agreed
on by the vastest majority of climatologists you'd care to imagine,
yet
even in the face of facts, he still persisted in his goofy claim.
You may say that the two claims are not contradictory, but it doesn't
matter because no source I've found claims any more than a 1 degree
rise in the last fifty years either. (I say this because Zippy
claimed
there was a .6 degree cooling in the first fifty years.) I also still
have
no idea whether he means Celsius or Fahrenheit, either way it bears
no resemblence to what the majority of climatologists claim.

They don't have to. For them it's an article of faith...just like the
current freezing
temperatures and snow strorms are eveidence of "global warming".

You don't need reason to be Left. You only need faith.

One might argue that leftists like Zepp aren't really lying because
they seem to believe that if they wish for things strongly enough and
say it enough times it will eventually come true....
,,,unfortunately for Zepp, the chances of my name ever being Henry
Selvitella or of anyone ever going to jail for reporting their capital
gains on form 1040 are pretty slim.
