Amen and amen.

Now this is about the works of the four riders on horseback from the
6th chapter of the Book of Revelation (we are now in the 6th year into
the third millenium after the birth of the Son of Man)
(1) Crowned rider wielding a bow and riding a white horse:
"See you on the other side. It's not bad. We are just going to
sleep." - missive (missile) from one of 12 born-again Christian miners
who gave up their lives to save the youngest among them after being
trapped by an explosion in a W.Va mine.
(2) Rider wielding a sword and riding a fiery red horse:
Ariel Sharon, the world's hope for lasting peace in the middle east,
suffers a massive bleeding stroke. Violence and bloodshed in Iraq
escalates. U.S. now less likely to pull out of Iraq anytime soon.
(3) Rider wielding a set of food scales and riding a black horse:
The rate of increase of the number of people worldwide using the
2PD-OMER Approach (which advocates the use of food scales) accelerates
with growing worldwide concerns about the obesity epidemic:

(4) Rider on a pale horse given the authority to kill a fourth of the
world's population "by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts
of the earth":
The H5N1 Avian Flu Pandemic is here:

Yes, the migratory birds spreading H5N1 virus are wild beasts of the
earth.
Would be more than happy to "glow" and chat about this and other things

Yes. It is ridiculously lame.

So you're saying that there *is* some actual evidence for your Jesus's
existence?
Perhaps you'd be good enough to tell us what it is...??

The guy is way too bitter, but he presents a compelling case.

OK, so by `100AD, everything was fulfilled. Exactly what relevance
does it have these days if that's the case.

No, he doesn't. That's why I said it's ridiculously
lame. I'll do this once. I will not entertain "Jesus
never existed" arguments, which are ridiculous
on their face, to anyone who is objective and knows
the science of textual criticism and archaeology.
I'll take just one of his challenges...
THE CLAIM:
Nazareth – The Town that Theology Built
(The evidence for a 1st century town of Nazareth
does not exist! – It is an imaginary city for an
imaginary godman.)
However when we look for historical confirmation
of this hometown of a god – surprise, surprise! –
no other source confirms that the place even existed
in the 1st century AD.
THE ANSWER:

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass,
till all these things be fulfilled." - Matthew 24:34

By 70 AD. And you need to rethink the Bible.
You are under the impression that if your
generation isn't the center of attention of
God's word, that it's useless. How vain. (:
--
"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass,
till all these things be fulfilled." - Matthew 24:34
The Last Days were in the first century:
Matthew 16:27-28
27) For the Son of man shall come in the glory
of his Father with his angels; and then he shall
reward every man according to his works.
28) Verily I say unto you, There be some standing
here, which shall not taste of death, till they
see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Jesus said He would return within the lifetime
of the Apostles. we know this, because Jesus
said SOME (at least one, not not most) would
be alive when this happened.
This is not the Transfiguration. There was no
coming with the Father's angels and no judging
every man according to His works and they were
all still alive.
This is not Pentecost. There was no coming with
the Father's angels and no judging every man
according to His works and they were all but one,
still alive.
Now see a verse that no one argues is about
His Second Coming and see that this is what
Jesus was referring to, in Matthew 16:27-28.
"And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward
is with me, to give every man according as
his work shall be." - Revelation 22:12

What is lame about it?

It contradicts his mythical beliefs...

Once again, please keep theological arguements out of rec.food.cooking.
Unless you can tell me what Jesus ate every day and give me his recipes, it
is totally irrelevant to cross-post to rec.food.cooking.
