with growing worldwide concerns about the obesity epidemic:

east in biblical times, measures weren't fully standardized and could be
volumetrically different from country to country. No mention of food, as
such. Omers are units of volume as indicated in the biblical texts as
well in common usage. The word originally meant, variously, "sheaf" or
"bundle" or "heap." All volumes; not weights.

I don't mutter that an omer is a volumetric measure, I shout it out with
sources and citations - Chung merely insists with nothing behind it.
Every source that defines it explains it's a tenth of an ephah which is
a volume measure. It says so in the bible, but Chung now says that the
bible passage that says that (Exodus 16:36) is "untruthful" because, he
says, it doesn't appear in the old Hebrew texts. It, of course, does
appear in them and I cited several sources for that presence, even one
that offers an audio file so one may listen to it being read. No reply
from Chung about it beyond the idiocy of biblical "untruth."
There was *one* source - a website - that supported Chung's angry
insistence that an omer is a unit of weight. That *one source no longer
agrees with him.* The editor of the site correctly changed it. Now there
are *no sources that say it's a unit of weight*. Not one.

Never said that, either. Non-fat milk isn't "emulsified oil," in any
event; milkfat isn't oil or it would be called "milkoil." But that word
foolishness of Chung's is irrelevant to weight control. Milk is
nutritive because of sugars and proteins in addition to any milkfat.
Milk and wine should be counted as part of total caloric intake, as all
calorie-containing foods and beverages should be. But not to measure by
weight, because that's such a meaningless index for dietary control that
no other reliable source suggests or condones it. Period. Not one. None.
