she was going to have to have something she could point her finger at
and get upset about. after all, she couldn't very well say, 'I WAS
REALLY ANNOYING AND YOU DECIDED YOU DIDN'T WANT ME TO ANNOY YOU
ANYMORE!' so, she had to say, 'it's not that you decided to do this.
it's that you didn't tell me right away that you were trying to do
this!'
it's like when someone cheats in a relationship and has sex with
another person. the offended party often says something like, 'IT'S
NOT THAT YOU CHEATED! IT'S THAT YOU LIED ABOUT IT!'
no, it's that the person cheated. DUH.
i agree, i shouldn't have put her off, or rather, 'lied' about it.
and, in uttering those three (or four) simple words, 'i need (some)
space', i was more truthful with her than any other woman in the
fellowship, including her sponsor, has been.
wow. what a martyr you are.
so, i might as well continue being truthful. i should let her know that
all of the other women are doing the same thing, to spare her feelings,
but i was the only one who was honest with her.
naaaa, you'll just get yourself in way over your head if you do that.
i know i lied, or, failed to divulge truth, but, i was only doing it to
spare her feelings. and here's something else, the other women in the
fellowship who 'lied' by not picking up their phones aren't any worse
for the deal.
now i'll be this crazy woman's scapegoat.
