In a pretty spectacular peroration tonight, MSNBC's Keith Olbermann
delivered a ten-minute indictment of the president and vice president
and
asked Bush to perform one last act of patriotism: resign. Saying "Even
Richard Nixon knew it was time to resign" and adding that Nixon's
resignation, belated though it was, ranked as one final action of
nonpartisanship, Olbermann urged George W. Bush to emulate Nixon, "not
for
self, not for party" but for the country. Olbermann also expressed a
wish
that Bush could get Cheney to resign.
I saw that tonight. Olbermann was so right on! He deserves an Emmy and a
Pulitzer at least.
But he is years too late.
He should have been on in 2000.
Wasn't he doing sports back then? And, the first time he
was on WNBC, he quit for some reason. He came back
later and started his current show which didn't really pick
up viewers until he started after BushCo and O'Really. Now,
his ratings are continuously going up while Billo's go down.

I remember him as a sportscaster, but barely. I didn't even know he had
a show until I started reading about him here and on various blogs. Now
I'm a regular. He's a real asset to MSNBC and an antidote to all of the
right wing screaming meemies on the tube.

I saw "Sicko". Awesome. I'm surprised that there is not more discussion
in the MSM. Then again, I'm not.
