Good. We *want* our enemies to consider us a threat. We're
*not* pussycats.
Do you consider al Qaeda to be a threat?
I have no words for how politically destructive and ingnorant
your statement is.
Oh, that's right, we shouldn't threaten them terrists, they
might
*hurt* us or something.
The 10,000+ people killed in Iraq were not terrorists.
20,000+ if you count the soldiers killed defending their country
from invaders.
Gosh, all those victims must be happy to have you to whine for
them.
Christians are supposed to be compassionate and love their fellow
men. Christians are supposed to be opposed to killing people. Why,
then, are the cruel people in here (like you, belittling the
deaths
of all those people) Christians, and the ones expressing
compassion
for their fellow men atheists?
I'm not a Christian; see that aa# in my sig?
And I'm not belittling the deaths of all those people, all of whom
deserve better than to have their lives and deaths spun for
political
purposes.
So what's all that ***** about people 'whining' for them? Showing
concern is a sign of care, not necessarily political spin. Accusing
people of whining by showing that concern is belittling their
deaths.
If they were showing concern instead of bashing the President, I might
believe you.
People are allowed to criticize the president. It doesn't make them
bad people. The whole arrogant idea that a person is a traitor if they
don't support Bush is utterly ridiculous.
I didn't say they were traitors for bashing the Prez, just that they're
not *showing concern* for the victims whose corpses they wrap themselves
in.
They were showing concern. That's precisely what you were complaining
about - them 'whining' about the number of deaths. I think it's
perfectly natural to be concerned about the number of civilian
casualties, and the person responsible for the casualties is the
President. He was the one who is responsible for the decision to go to
war and he is in charge of the armed forces. The two things go hand in
hand.
I don't doubt that you'd be making similar comments if the President
happened to be a Democrat.
