IN THE REALM OF THE APOCRYPHAL

Ah, this is wonderful. This is what the remaining followers are told to
believe and it's no doubt that many of them -- if not most -- do. The
logic faults and historical record which prove otherwise must be fully
ignored, of course. I mean, the guy _stole_ Parson's sex slave and
absconded with her and a sailboat Parsons owned. How do these people
think he got one of his second wives?
But even more: Hubbard mentions Parsons and the OTO favorably in some
of his writings, calling Parsons a "good friend." All that disgusting
homosex, after all, and they became good buddies.

Greg Bishop’s "Best of L.A."characterization, in his piece on Jack
Parsons, of L. Ron Hubbard as a tool of Aleister Crowley’s Ordo Templi
Orientalis is utterly false. Mr. Hubbard was sent in by U.S.
Intelligence to disband Parsons’ black-magic group. Those associated
with the OTO had become a serious security threat to the nation’s
atomic-research program, with suspected Nazi sympathizers among them
and scientists from Caltech and Los Alamos (Manhattan Project)
suspected of engaging in rituals involving sex and drugs. Clearly a
security nightmare.
Mr. Hubbard succeeded in his assignment. In 1946, Parsons’ lodge of
the OTO dispersed. Parsons lost his government security clearance in
1948, and other scientists involved in his group were among the 64
stripped of their security clearances after the war.
It really is time for the L.A. Weekly to reassess its perspective and
policy regarding such attempts to denigrate Scientology, the religion
of tens of thousands of people in your readership area.

Um, pardon me, but I did not write that letter to the editor; I only

said elsewhere in this thread (thanks, Zinj!) I've been a fairly

alt.religion.scientology gets tens of thousands of posts each month,
nenslo, and not a single scientologist posts to it or reads it.
This thread, by itself, might be something like "preaching to the
choir", but there are TENS OF THOUSANDS of articles, it goes vastly
beyond "preaching to the choir" and becomes something like an
electronic Nuremberg rally of preaching to the choir.
I posted there under a false name, in hopes of drawing some ACTUAL
SCIENTOLOGISTS into a debate, thinking that if we were going to get
all this endless scientology ***** at least I could make it
interesting. TENS OF THOUSANDS of articles, and they are all from THE

Hubbard's cult and trying to make their sole field of expertise seem
important so they don't have to face the fact that they themselves are
utterly worthless, a burden on the earth which should be cleared away
with the rest of the trash. Meaning YOU STILL SUCK, BARFWELL.

We still have a flying saucer cult that kills its followers in ones and
twos and maims them in batches. Until the deliberate murders and the
quack medical frauds are met with Federal indictments, it's up to civil
rights activists and consumers to keep exposing the homicides, frauds,
and swindles of the criminal enterprise.
No like? Sign up with them and go "clear" $360,000 later.

We're either for you or against you, huh?

You're either for fraud and maimings or you're against them. Unless you're
one of the mentally discognitive who pick and choose which frauds and
which maimings you like and which you don't.
If Scientology didn't kill, racketeer, swindle, and maim, they would be
ignored just like all the other flying saucer cults out there.

"Bat Child" huh?
Well, that speaks volumes for itself.
You are full of *****. You are living in a fantasy world. The only
"evidence" that Hubbard ever had anything to do with US intelligence
is Hubbard's own ***** fairy tale. Given the freedom of
information act, not only -are- the FBI reports on Hubbard and Parsons
freely available but they are plastered all over the internet for
anybody with even the tiny smear of brain material necessary to look
for them.

As should have been obvious from the subject line, Bat Child was not the author of
the quoted text. The author of the quoted text was a Scientologist, which was quoted
from the LA Weekly, as clearly indicated in the subject line, the text of the article,
the URL cited at the top of the article in its first line.
Additionally, it is signed at the end by the actual author, Lissa Uvizl.
