I don't know. It was CNBC which is mostly a pack of hyenas yowling all
the time anyway. But the shouting was amusing. <G>
But that was when the market opened. They've calmed down now that it's
rebounded. Not rebounded *well* but it opened with a plummet of about 460
points and I'm surprised the yapping morons weren't peeing their pants on
TV.
It's in minus 160ish territory about now (2:30ish Eastern) so they're not
running around with their hair on fire anymore...

Seems the Fed just cut interest rates by 3/4%
A cut next week of a half tops was on the cards. This shows how worried they
are about a major recession.
Think it may work the other way though... "Gee Honey! The fed's
panicking... What do they know that we don't? Better sell anyway!"
What with the severely dire sub prime mortgages "chopped and diced and
wrapped in nori till the sub prime fish looked like the best sushimi" style
bonds that triggered this and Northern Rock over here... Time to turn it
all into gold and stick it under the bed!
