Actually, Atilla, the Liberal Philosophy runs the gamut from
Libertarian-Liberal (me) to Authoritarian-Liberal. The term "Liberal"
is too general.
I am a liberal Democrat who supports Freedom of Choice and opposes
religion in public as well as public support for religion. I think you
should change what you call yourself as will I. You are, from what I
know about you, a right-leaning libertarian. I am a left-leaning
libertarian.
However, you're right. Marksman is a moron. Whomever disagrees with
him is a "LIEberal". I'm not even sure I know what this means. He
seems to call an awful lot of people LIEberals, even though he doesn't
know what political background the people he's talking to subscribes to.
As those who have been here a while know.
Actually, I didn't know, but thanks for letting me know. I think we
could be good friends, Atilla. I have a great right-leaning libertarian
friend who I wouldn't change for the world. :-)

I think that, that binary fixation they have, is actually essential to their
basic belief system. In a binary world, there is black and white, or good and
bad. There are no grey areas to confuse you, to force thought and hard decision
making, onto you.
Everything is easily identified.
With the fanatic, this ease of recognition is enhanced by the fanatic's freedom
to choose for it's self, what is good or bad.this freedom also removes the last
vestiges of grey. If it aint white, it is black.
With such simple thinking, he can't be wrong.
Total agreement with them is good.
Wanting to know what you are agreeing with, is bad, it means that you have
already decided they are wrong: Why else would you not take them on trust?
So long as they maintain this binary thinking, (dare I call it philosophy?),
their minds are inassailible.
No reasoning can reach them.
God reigns in their heads, enthroned in a barren waste.
