I've been thinking about this one throughout today. At one point not many
years ago taking an organ transplant was a sin, it was a sin worthy of
disfellowshipping, and ultimately according to watchtower theology were
doom someone to facing Armageddon.
Now it is up to an individual's personal choice as to whether they will
accept an organ transplant.
Why is it that taking a blood transfusion is cannibalism, and taking a
liver transplant is not?
As Bla rightly though indirectly points out, a liver that is not full of
the other person's blood is useless for transplanting.
But the JW can get excommunicated (a death sentence to the poor soul) if
even a drop of blood, including his own, is transfused.
How did the "new light" arrive regarding organ transplant? How did the
watchtower determine that this horrible sin that could jeopardize your
standing with God, could suddenly become a personal choice?
They received "new light" that it was not cannibalism.
It just came out and bit the disgusting spiritual-pedophiles who run the
Watchtower, right in the butt - and then chewed on it.
"It" being Frederick W. Franz, the fourth President of the Watchtower
Society, a well-known homosexual lecher who insisted on his rights to
buggery over new Bethel boys....
So they cried: "Woe betide us! Butt-munching isn't cannibalism! So nor can
transplants!"
But they needed something else "medical" to "distinguish ourselves from
mainstream Christianity".
So they happened upon blood transfusions, which they had earlier COMMENDED!
That's how it works in Bethel, Bla...
I'm wondering how this light came to be? How do they find out is now OK to
do? What happened to those individuals who believed with all their heart
that organ transplantation wasn't a sin and therefore got one in defiance >of
watchtower teaching? Were they ahead of their time? Will these people be
forced to see Armageddon? How can something be a horrible sin one day, and
a personal choice the next?
"Running ahead of Jehovah", Bla, the worst sin of all. Both Hayden
Covington, the WT's top lawyer once "Judge" Rutherford (the murderer of the
first Watchtower President) met his end through alcoholic poisoning, and
the abovenamed Fred Franz have admitted under oath and subject to the laws
of perjury that:
(a) God demands you follow wrong teachings of the Watchtower EVEN if you
know them to be wholly wrong and
(b) even if the Watchtower subsequently recants them, and
(c) if you fail to so do, God will kill you and your minor kids in all
likelihood) at Armageddon. Check it out with Google. "Promulgated false
prophesy" or variants should do it. :-)
Jehovah-of-the Watchtower is not too bright, you see. He'd have flunked
grade school math and science. So realizing cannibalism is distinct from
transplants was hard for him.
And if you get ahead of him, you are going to be blasted by the leader of
the JWs, and flesh-eating plagues will be the best you can hope for while
you twist in your death throes.
I would really appreciate an intelligent answer to these questions. But, >if
nobody has one I would also be completely willing to accept sarcastic and
humorous ones!

Do note that the JW list of substances that one is prohibited from imbibing
in any way (orally, by injection or transfusion, however) HAVE CERTAINLY
INCLUDED substances that are present in:
(a) MOTHER'S MILK!!! and
(b) MATERNAL BLOOD THAT CROSSES THE PLACENTAL BARRIER.
Therefore, only a test-tube foetus (reared with NO SURROGATE MOTHER i.e.
SOLELY in the test tube - science is not quite there yet) and then fed on
powdered milk rather than the real stuff would have qualified.

Witness F.W.Franz's room were always dealt with other than by the regular
laundry service, by the way. Perhaps Franz's occasional (most of the time
he was asexual) buggeries sometimes led to involuntary blood transfusions?
Tranplants? Covers-up, for sure!
When stumbled once, he hastily volunteered there was nothing between him
and the young lad found in his room. Sure - nothing - not even a sheet...
Read about his predecessor (as Watchtower Leader) Nathan Knorr and how to
"observe right handling" of one's penis - lessons available for the new
intake in the washroom? Knorr had to get married to get the rumors under

Franz.
