No.
Many scientists, uncomfortable with the idea that the universe was created
by a higher intelligence, speculate that by some mechanism it created
itself out of nothing. Does that sound reasonable to you?
Of course. What the hell is a "higher intelligence" anyway? And how did this
higher intelligence come to be? Why do you prefer to believe that the higher
intelligence created itself out of nothing rather than the universe created
itself out of nothing?
