a disease. NA claims that it is. that's all NA has - a claim.

a building block of neurotransmitters in the brain. This inhibits
accurate reception of the chemical seritonin (hmmm, spelling ?).
chemical dependency is not a disease. we are dependent on many chemicals for
our very survival, such as, duh, oxygen and water, in addition to food,
essential minerals, vitamins etc.
and to combat certain diseases and bacteria we are dependent on other drugs
for us to survive their onslaught.
dependency alone is not conclusive evidence that we have a disease of
addiction.
