Saint Thomas the Divine on the meaning of prophets.

As for myself, I can only predict the broad outlines of my own future for now.
Some of you may feel that I am a false prophet. In this case, let me just
predict a few things about my own future so you can see the truth: I will be
the first man ever to earn three Ph.d.'s - all from Ivy League caliber schools.
These will be in chemistry, chemical engineering and theology. I will earn at
least two masters degrees - one in business administration and the other in
electrical engineering both from Harvard. I will be the oldest man ever to set
world and Olympic records in track and field in at least six events. In fact, I
will run exactly thirty-four seconds in the four hundred meters at the age of
seventy-five, for I am the mightiest man ever born other than the Christ (pound
per pound). I will win at least three Nobel prizes and over a half dozen
Pulitzer prizes. I will become valedictorian of M.I.T. within the next three
years. I will unify the religious world and I will return Israel to total
holiness. After all my children are born (there will be at least sixteen), I
will be transfigured into heaven from Mount Sinai in Israel. After all these
things have taken place, you will know that a prophet has been among you and
that I am head of all the Churches of Jesus Christ in the world today! They are
pretty much self-fulfilling since I am a baptized Christian.
