I MAY not post tomarrow, so here is the devotional for that day from my
free book, Power 4 Life, for discussion and ministry....

Subjects of the King

Matthew 12:28
"But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of
God is come unto you."

This is the Kingdom of God. Jesus said in Matthew 28:18, "All power is
given unto me in heaven and in earth." He, also, rebuked Pilate in John
19:11 by saying, "Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except
it were given thee from above." So, God is King, but do you know who
you are in that Kingdom?

We are redeemed by God's own blood (Isaiah 54:4-5). We were put on
earth to rule it (Genesis 1:28). We have promises of answer prayer
(Mark 11:22-24). We have angels to help us, twice the number of the
demons (Psalms 34:7, Revelations 12:3-4). We have God's Spirit in us
(John 14:16-18). We have been given authority to use the name of Jesus
(Mark 16:17-18). We have scripture promises of protection and blessing
(Psalms 91:15-16) by the God we trust. Finally, we are destined, one
day, for heaven.

Meanwhile, the devil is not redeemed by the blood of Christ. He was put
on earth as a punishment. The devil is not promised answer prayer or
any help from God. The devil has half the number of angels on his side
that God has on His. He doesn't have God's Spirit in him. He doesn't
have the authority of God's Name. He has no scripture promises of his
protection or blessing. Finally, the devil and demons are destined to,
one day, go to hell for high treason against God.

Now, between the demons or us, who do you think that God would rather
bless? Do you think that God would rather prosper His children on earth
that trust Him or a demon or a sickness upon them?

Remembering our identity in Christ can be a real comfort and source of
confidence in God's help for us. That's why the devil has fought
tooth and nail to keep that knowledge from us.

Imagine that a ship of prisoners came to earth. Over time the prisoners
managed to keep their jailers out of contact with their authority and
to convinced them that they are not there for a reason. Further,
imagine that, over time, they overpowered the jailers and began
exerting authority over them. All that the jailers had to do is call
their Boss for help and weapons, but they had long since forgotten
their authority.

That is where we are, now. Jesus came to free the captives, teach them
of the Kingdom, and give them weapons for the fight. It's high time for
us to remember who we are, to walk in the authority granted to us, and
to restore God's reign on earth.

fear. Such slaves delight in injuring those of whom they also stand in

Confession
I believe man was made to rule the earth. I believe Satan and all the
demons were put here as a punishment. I believe Jesus has all power and
authority in Heaven and earth. I believe that accepting of Jesus'
death for me restores my authority, and I have authority over all evil,
as a loyal subject of the King.
