Really, ID is god of the gaps.
ID claims there are some things that are irreducible,
that is cannot be disproven by evolution, but many
specific examples by IDists of such have turned
out to be understood by science IDists are sloppy
and careless. And there is no way they can prove
their contention that there are somethings not
explainable by evolution. Right there ID collapses.
Plue ID has left lots of documents admitting it
is only politics and rhetoric designed to get
creation into schools under a nother name.
The most important thing here is, the IDists
cannot prove that there is anything in principle
that evolution cannot prove, given time and hard
work. This is the most important things to note.
Their metaphysical underpinnings are utter nonsense.
The second important issue is, an omni-everything
creator class of gods is impossible.
With no god that is viable, creationism is dead.
There is I don't think, much need for a newsgroup.
What is needed is simply a few URL's to websites
that keep up with the doings of these IDiots.
An ID FAQ.
Go ahead if you wish, if somebody wanted to post
news there, links to stories about IDiots at play,
that might be worthwhile.
We already have alt.talk.creationism.

The irreducible complexity argument assumes that life was put together
like a car or some other machine is. With machines each piece if fully
formed and then inserted to its proper place. If you remove one of those
parts the machine either ceases to function or ceases to function
properly. They take that assumption, pretend Evolution assumes the same
thing and say, see if we remove this part and is stops function
therefore Evolution is wrong. It is a compelling argument, unless you
know what Evolution states. ID *is* dead, some are in denial about it (I
am agreeing with you).
