Here is a question I was pondering and being the inquisitive mind I am
I would like to get as much input as possible.
I am currently in NA and am working on the third step. The whole
concept of turning my "will and life" over to god (called so in the
name of simplicity) confuses me a bit.
I have never had and sort of religion in my life although spirituality
has always been present. I pray because I can see it is doing no harm
in my life. I believe there are numerous powers greater then myself.
My question is how do I put this into action.
I have faith that things will work out the way they are supposed. I
make a concerted effort to not force my will onto others and now think
about the consequences of what I am about to do before I act.
Any and all advice is appreciated.
Just get on with your life and don't worry about the steps. Their vague and
unworkable anyway
true. this is not just venom directed against NA. it's actually the truth.
NA and it's program cannot save you. only you can save yourself.
it's really all up to you. to say otherwise is to believe in fairy tales.
people instinctively look for the easy way out. there is no easy way out of
drug addiction. you have to find your own way out.
but the good news is that yer not powerless. you can do it. just persevere
and you will find the way out one day.
